Jaguar X type 2.5 v6 awd. Can chiptuning improve fuel efficiency or will just increase HP?

Regards,

Peter

Welcome to the club, Peter.

I used to have a similar Jaguar and I found that the best way of improving fuel efficiency was to drive at a suitable speed.  I found that steady driving on good fuel gave me around 35 mph on an steady drive.

My X type was taken by two gentlemen who later was placed in a Royal House for 8 years. I never got my car back!

Peter [ A bit older]

Thank you very much for the reply. I always drive within the speed limits. After all I'm 78 years old.

Kind regards,

Peter

Hi Peter,

We live in a big city and speed limits and sometimes have some poor drivers and think that Jaguar owners drive too slowly when they could go faster.  I have been told that I should go quicker when there is the space.  I have told them that I prefer to live longer. The 6th of June will see me at 88!

Regards

Peter.

Quite agree with this submission. A mere 72 years young, me. Have had my days with Skylines etc, etc and massive BHP and stiffened, lowered suspensions. Now prefer the quiet, luxury and as much comfort as I can afford.

Best Wishes and Regards, John
