X -Type 2.2 Diesel Estate Clutch Problems

Bought myself the X-Type 2.2 D (4 years old - 60000 miles)from Stratstone.com (Stockton-on Tees) and was not impressed after 3 months of ownership when I was told by the Perth dealer that it needed new front discs and an anti-roll bar bush, so I emailed the dealership I bought it from and got no response. After putting this incident at the back of my mind, I went out to the car on Wednesday and found I could'nt select gear with the engine running. After speaking with my local garage, they reckon its the pressure plate and that I will need to replace the whole clutch and DMF at a cost of around £1K. Stratsone wanted £1.5K and they arent getting any more of my money. I have decided that Stratsone are not somebody I want to deal with anymore and have even cancelled my service plan with them.

Other than that, I love my shiney Jag but feel slightly ripped off!
