  1. There was a dealer in Coventry advertising last year cam belt changes for an s type. However, I think the price could well have been nearer £500 under normal circumstances. I guess an independent garage would charge about £350, but that is stll a guess. Peter.
  2. hi Jim your find one no problem a lot of them are multi make & model units, so the hard bit is choosing which one Ron
  3. not being funny jim i would invest in a reader ive just brought one off ebay just a cheap one for £12.50 as i had egr problems with mine and it read the cars dtc's with no problem, gave me the codes & what the problem was & even reset / deleted them it after. saved me loads of money first time out of the box ron
  4. Hi Adrian and welcome to the club. On the s type, whose engine is the one that was uprated for the XF, a change of cam belt should be done at 105k, The XF is a rather good car, and with a FSH could be a good purchase. But it is worth checking if the owner would knock off about £350 for the cost of a cam belt change. Regards, Peter.
  5. hi Bilal welcome to the club now to the car it looks very much like a series one xj6/v12 but ive never seen a manual gearbox version with overdrive. so i think its a xj6 series 1 looks like you have a big restoration job in front of you best of luck. Ron
