Welcome to the club Philip. I run an 06 s type and the main thing I find is a good weekly charge of the battery with a good quality charger. you,ll find a lot of useful information on here as to individual problems. There can’t be many that haven,t been sorted by someone on here.. chidders
  2. There are some good videos on You Tube explaining how to identify / trace Parasitic electrical losses on the car. Good Luck and Best Wishes , John
  3. Hi Michael When the car is locked battery draw should be a few milliamps. Occasionalyl you may get an error in one or more of the modules so that the computers fail to go to sleep properly and continue to draw current. As soon as you unlock the car all of the computer modules wake-up and the car is then drawing maybe 20 Amps. This is why you will quickly get a warning if you sit in the car listening to the radio without the engine running. Personally I would want to be using it more than once a week and that use would need to be a good hour run. Otherwise it probabaly would benefit from a trickle charger such as a CTek when left parked. Good luck John

Hi Carl, Do you have the option of putting the transmission into "S" mode? If you do, then you can use the paddles to select the gear you want and it won't be overridden after a while like it does in "D". You do need to be aware of the need to do all gearchanges youself though! Cheers, Jon

Hi Carl, Giving the exhaust system some revs you will find that a diesels lower revs than a petrol engine. My S Type 2.7 Diesel gives me 2,100revs f0r 70 mph, while my X Type 2.5 Petrol used to give me over 3,500 revs for 70 mph. Regards Peter
  7. Julie Is someone attempting to have a laugh. £1400 ....I feel I would want two cars done for that money. Perhaps their finish is twice as good. ???????????????????????? Best Wishes, John
