Sorry for the late reply.
You can list the parts in this forum https://www.jaguarownersclub.com/forums/forum/25-jaguar-parts-and-accessories-for-sale/Would love to see some photos of the build, sounds very exciting (and expensive!)

Hi Roy....welcome to the Club
As long as it is serviced and maintained regularly using quality replacement parts then there's no reason it shouldn't go on for many years to come

Hi Raj....welcome to the Club
Wow! huge miles but as I always say 'it wouldn't have got to those miles if it wasn't any good'.
Just got to carry out routine maintenance when it is required and use reputable parts and fluids and you shouldn't have any issues
Good to have you onboard

My XF-S (2011, bought a year ago) arrived with Chinese 'Triangle' branded tyres, which were truly 'interesting' in the wet.
Managed to crash by BMW Z3 on cheap Chinese tyres that came with a set of replacement wheels....LETHAL in the wet is definitely an understatement!!! I would not recommend anyone to buy these dangerous tyres that are currently flooding the UK market, spend some money and buy branded or at least not Chinese.

It sounds like the automatic gearbox fluid needs topping up or replacing (assuming it is an automatic)
if it is a manual gearbox then the clutch is slipping -
It sounds like the keys are not coded to the car, this would need dealer level equipment to code the fobs to the car but a reputable diagnostic specialist with the correct equipment could easily carry out this task

Thanks for your post Max.....very enlightening!
It certainly makes you wonder about submersing electrical power supply and components that consume enough power to char the wiring....although never heard of any tanks catching fire but when you feel how hot an external mounted pump gets under load I'm quite surprised that the fuel keeps it all sufficiently cool.

Can you plug the original LED in to see if that makes any difference to the system?
-
It sounds like there is air trapped in the matrix....is it blowing hot air?
-
Can you post up some photos of it please?

Its worth getting quotes from reputable independent repairers as they would be cheaper than the dealer but you may also need to replace the water pump whilst in the area as it is more cost efficient to do it then

Hi Simon.....welcome to the Club
Can't say I have any experience with Vinyl spray but I have heard it is great, if applied correctly.
Worth restoring the old girl in my mind.....far fewer on the roads nowadays

Hi Alan....welcome to the Forum
You could try just a couple of psi extra in each tyre to see if this keeps the sensors happy.
Always ensure that the pressures are checked when they tyres are cold and 2 psi extra won't affect the handling that much.Let us know what you find

I think the 270 would be fine if lower gears are used and engine revs are high as this would keep the engine running clean and also should be quite close to the 200 for economy.

Hi Rob....welcome to the Club
Old Peter is probably the best chap to advise on meets in your area as he does sometimes arrange some within the Midlands but generally there are not many others planned as yet.
Feel free to organise something in your area if you wish and we can help to promote it

It certainly looks like a mk2 Daimler Sovereign wheel

As the car had to be towed onto the transporter the front towing bolt was used and the driver lost the cover. I have bought a new one but can't get it to fit. Any ideas anyone??

Sounds like it has over-extended the drive rod. First check there is no obstruction underneath the seat (e.g. something dropped into the area such as a bottle or umbrella)
Possibly try operating it with someone gently pushing back with their feet against the front footwell and see if it can be persuaded back off the rest point.
