Hi Nick....welcome to the Club
It really depends on what sort of driving you will mostly be doing...e.g. motorway driving then a diesel is fine, town driving either small diesel or most certainly petrol and hybrid.

Hi Stephen...welcome to the Club
Superb car for transporting all sizes of 'tat' and looks the part as well.
Good to have you onboard

Hi Mick....welcome to the Club
Depends on the engine as there have been faults documented with certain engines....worth searching through the XF section of the Forum.
I would always try to get an extended warranty if buying from through a Trade sale....even with a Private sales you can buy a warranty to protect against serious issues.Overall, the XF is a great model and is relatively trouble-free
Good to have you onboard

Wow! would love to own these but I imagine they would be quite expensive?

It may be worth trying the battery reset procedure but not entirely sure it will resolve the issue.
Have you looked for any damage (not matter how slight) on the screen? -
Hi Philip....welcome to the Club

Hi Paul....welcome to the Forum
Has anything damaged the screen recently...something knocked against it possibly?
Cannot seem to find anything on a a search for this specific fault and wonder though

Hi Ged.....welcome to the forums
Just had a look through some seat cover suppliers and cannot find anything for the rear of an XK8.
May have to go to a trimmers and get them to make one up for you.Good to have you onboard
Cheers, Trevor -
Hi Ian
Two things come to mind
Battery voltage: check the battery condition and replace if necessary as this can affect the electronics
Turbo variable vanes sticking: turbo needs some cleaner running through it and an italian tuneup usually cures it
Either way, a scan of the fault code memory should reveal something to go on
Let us know what you find

I would say if there is an issue with the key fob as well as the engine not running then the fault is with the immobiliser.
Maybe worth getting a Jaguar specialist or an auto-electrician to accurately diagnose the fault and go from there....but my money is on the immobiliser
Do you have another spare key fob available?

Hi Jason....welcome to the Forum
6 hours ago, Leo said:They do produce a lot of brake dust. You can change to third party pads that produce far less: I can’t remember the name, but members will doubtless advise.
Leo Greenstuff, Redstuff, EBC are a few brands that come to mind and don't produce much dust along with enhanced performance.
However, the trade-off is that these types of pads are harder material and take longer to warm up so can be quite ineffective until warmed up.Cheers, Trevor

Hi David.....welcome to the Forum
You could try running a cleaning disc through the player and see if that improves it>

Hi Kevin
I think you may find this current thread useful information regarding leaper removal
-
Could well be the solution....I know this does occur on some Audi models and repair or replacement of the instrument panel is the only solution.
Fingers crossed that it occurs within the warranty period

Hi Jason....welcome to the Forum
Wow! I can feel your enthusiasm and excitement....please do post up some pics of this fine machine and enjoy it when you pick it up
Cheers, Trevor

Have recently read a similar post from a member on here and his response was the same....came back on and waiting for it to come back but no idea what was causing it.....keep us in the loop if it appears again and/or if you find the reason/rectification

Hi Rob.....welcome to the Club
It would probably be best to obtain a data only SIM as there should be good deals through companies such as 3 or Tesco for 20GB data packages.
Good to have you onboard
Cheers, Trevor

How did you get on with it....did they replace the whole pedal box assembly?
-
Hi Chris....how did you get on with this issue?
What was the conclusion?
-
How did you get on with having one fitted?

Damned unfortunate! How did you get on with rectifying the damage?

Think I would take it in to be diagnosed as this sounds as though it could be a component that is worn or due to go faulty.
Best to be on the safe side!
