  1. Understood Simon, weather has been miserable all day :(
  2. Partners more than welcome. There's still a few weeks to go, interest could still peak :)
  3. Hi Steve, Sunday works for me, what about you Simon?
  4. A 406V6 Coupe - beautiful looking car with performance, not quite the V8 level but had the car just shy of 10 years and 198k miles
  5. Sounds good, especially if she's thrilled to have the car. 20" rims - understood, mine only has 17 but I'm a bit more careful in my S-Type compared to my old ride.
  6. Hi Keith, Welcome to the club and your first Jag, hope all goes well :) Best regards, Dave
  7. Hi Martin, So are you going to let the missus drive or are you going to take a line from Harry Enfield "Woman know your place!" :D Dave
  8. Thanks for the response, but as an example could you tell us how long it took for the XJ? And ball-park price? I do appreciate there is hell of a lot of work put into the XJ and the results are very evident - it's a stunning before and after comparison. Best regards, Dave
  9. Hi Martin, Welcome to the club and the delights of an XKR, is this going to be your first Jag? Best regards, Dave
  10. Hi Simon/Steve, How does 8 - 8:30 pm Saturday sound at the Alice Lisle? Best regards, Dave
  11. Hi Les, Welcome to the forum and Jag ownership. If you're looking to meet, we're looking at a local meet on the 27th May at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon - hope to see you there? Best regards, Dave
  12. The motoring programme Fifth Gear (Discovery Channel) have a new feature this series where they wish to present the viewer with a cheaper alternative to a 'supercar' featured earlier in the episode. For this particular episode they are looking for alternatives to the Bentley Flying Spur and one of the selected models is a Jaguar S-Type in the region of £3000, preferably a V8 but not diesel. If anyone is interested in having their car featured in the show contact Sarah Swift, her email address is sarah.swift@northonetv.com
  13. Outstanding work on the XJ but you don't mention how long or how much, could you enlighten me? Best regards, Dave
  14. Hi Andy, The Jag looks smart - clearly the French roads are not only excellent but very clean? You should see mine, covered in dust and spray :( Best regard, Dave
  15. Hi Michael, Although we only had a couple of days of snow, I had the same boot issue with my S-Type - could it be a Jag feature ;) Best regards, Dave
  16. Hi Andrew, This seems to be quite a common problem with the more mature Jag (mine included), it would be good to see to see some before and after photos with your comment on how you get on. Best regards, Dave
  17. The Alice Lisle or the Fish Inn both had good reviews??
  18. Good Morning John, Good to see you're interested in meeting up, depending on numbers will depend on how we're able to play this, if less than 15 we'll just turn up but if more than that number we can speak to the Heritage Centre and try and get a discount for admission in to the museum part and also get a fenced off area where we can park as a club. Just have to see what the uptake is in the next few weeks. Best regards, Dave
  19. Hi Symon, welcome to the forum and Jag ownership, is this your first? Hope to see some phots posted. Best regards, Dave
  20. An opportunity to get Jag lovers in one place, talk about cars, talk about Jags - generally a chance to meet like minded individuals regardless of age or model - or for that matter make of car. The Heritage Motor Centre makes a good venue as it is reasonably central for most commutes (obviously some more than others :D), but more importantly it's a great venue, their museum and restauant. And I believe there are a number of Jags on display moved across from the Jaguar Heritage Museum. If there is enough interest, it may be possible to negotiate a group concession. Look forward to seeing you there :)
  21. We're stopping over in Rockley Park for three nights, as well as visiting the sights we're visiting relatives. Friday will see us drive the 417 to Swindon and then the 346 to Salisbury. I'll talk to the management regarding when but not sure about where - it's been more than 20 years since I last had a beer in Ringwood.. :o It might have burnt down and I'll not have known about it ;)
