  1. I , some while ago, submitted a posting (sticky) on this forum in respect of the legality of upgrading to HID lights from Halogen. In a nutshell , if the original fitting is halogen they are not legally upgradeable to HID and can therefore be failed on MOT. Regards, John Not for me to say you should not do it, that is obviously your choice.
  2. Plenty of submissions on this topic on this forum. Regards, John
  3. Dave Welcome to the forum/club and enjoy your Jaguar Experience. Regards, John
  4. Steve Even with a new battery the use of a CTEK MS 7 charger/re-condition can save you a lot of problems in the future. I swear by mine, as do many others on this forum. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  5. Welcome to the club/forum. Regards and Best Wishes, John
  6. There is a WD 40 Silicone spray available. Regards, John
  7. Is the battery good as you say. S-Types are notorious with battery drain, with the very cold weather added into the equation it could in fact be that the battery is not good. Regards, John
  8. As Joe has posted. P1000 is a manufacturer installed Code that will, once all codes corrected, disappear on driving the vehicle. Regards, John
  9. Barry Jaguars are battery thirsty (especially I find my S-Type was). I cured the problem by investing in a CTEK MS 7 Battery Charger / Re-conditioner . Use mine at least once per month and for at least 24 hours at a time. Marvellous machine which I use successfully Summer and Winter. Many people on this Forum find it a worthwhile investment for keeping a good battery in excellent condition. Best Wishes and Regards, John
