  1. Michael Welcome to the forum and enjoy your Jaguar experience. Would not wish to suggest what you should do yourself as I am not aware of what mechanical experience you have. Good Luck, Best Wishes and Regards, John
  2. Be aware of legislation concerning fitting of non original headlight bulbs. I submitted an article on this subject which is a "sticky" LEGALITY OF UPGRADING FROM HALOGEN TO HID or LED HEADLIGHTS. MOT TEST. ?????? which is in Chit Chat Non Jaguar. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  3. Sounds like a reasonably dear method of clearing a light . Regards, John
  4. Get your self a CTEK MS 7, battery charger re-conditioner and use it regularly. I use mine on my S-type (which are also renown for battery drain) at least once in a fortnight and for at least 24 hours each time. This piece of equipment is used by many people on the forum. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  5. One would think that Jaguar themselves would have some idea how to tame the beast they hatched. Is there not a question of warranty/consumer rights here. Best Wishes , John
  6. Dave If you find the correct window film I would appreciate knowledge of where you obtain it as it sounds like a very good idea. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  7. Happy Christmas Dan and to all Club/Forum Members. Cheers, John
  8. I believe the job is not worth doing unless you actually finish with the UV resistant lacquer . Thanks and Regards, John
  9. Ashar You really do need to do a diagnostic reading and get the fault codes to be certain of what you are dealing with. Any other way you will searching in the dark and could end up chasing the fault and costing lots of wasted £££££££`s. ABS fault can also often to associated with wheel speed sensor/s. That again should show on a diagnostic check. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  10. Michael You will be far better of financially (and probably from customer service point of view) by finding yourself an Independent Jaguar Specialist. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  11. I am of the opinion/belief that the isolator should be fitted to the terminal that provides the body earth, which with what you quote would be the positive . Best Wishes and Regards, John
  12. Anthony Welcome to the wonderful and sometimes frustrating world of Jaguar ownership and maintenance. They are somewhat renowned for battery discharge. I personally (as many others on this forum have) invested in a CTEK MS 07 battery charger and restorer. I use it very regularly , at least once per month and always for at least 24 hours. It keeps the battery well maintained and greatly reduced the number of fault codes and starting/running problems that can arise from a lower charged battery. Best Wishes and Regards, John
