Wouldn’t it be too dry
I can vouch for the fact that talc works between squeaky floorboards, but do not know about window runners.

Well i missed not having a Jaguar.
L came across this car, bought it from local business owner.
He has spent a lot of money on it.
He has kindly put a new mot on today and a new track rod end- that was the only advisory.
When i drove it i loved it it glides.
I love older cars. It needs a few little cosmetic touches bit wear drivers seat, but that`s expected.
a new silver strip on bumper - priced already at SNG.
I loved it soon as i got in, it just feels so comfortable, I actually enjoyed driving it more than the Xf L had.
any tips on maintenance very welcome.
I believe i have now found the car i will keep for a good few years and its lpg / petrol as well
can get 240 miles to £30.
julie.
Julie, Looks very well. I totally agree with the liking of the older model of cars. Well done in finding what you wanted. Hope you get many happy years and miles of motoring with the new cat.
Best wishes and Regards, John

How to stop the windows squeaking only on the 2 front windows
Had this happen on a previous vehicle I owned. Cured by using a small amount of "three in one" Oil on the runners. It never re-occurred. Hope it proves successful for you.
Best Wishes, John

Long answer short John, they won't sound better better, but you get the modern convenience of all the worlds music available on your phone. I'm a late adopter of this tech and have only been using it for the last year. If this is not something you're likely to do, stick with the CD autochanger 😉
I had a quick look on eBay and there are a couple available, look to see what you've got and hopefully you can match. No electrical knowledge needed, just unbolt and swap the plugs over. If you're not confident on this, hopefully you'll have a friend that can help 🙂
Russ
At this moment in time I feel I will stick with what I have got as original equipment. It is working well and I actually do not use a phone for music at all.
Many thanks and Regards, John

A few years ago I replaced mine with a 2nd hand one from eBay, it wasn't expensive and bolted straight in. More recently, people seem to be upgrading to more modern head units that can accept digital inputs. I can see myself doing this at some point 😉
Russ. Liking my in car music (as a 72 years young does?????), but not having great electrical tech knowledge. I wonder if it is possible to firstly answer if you would know if "more modern head units" are of any better sound quality than the six disc changer original equipment fitted in my car.
If they are would you be able to give some examples of what is available and how to upgrade the head unit.
Thanks very much, Regards, John

Welcome to everyone, my name is Marlon Gaitán from Nicaragua and I am reviving a Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V6 in 2000, the car starts, runs and all goes well, but there is a problem, the fuel pressure has to go down with it At the same time, when it starts and takes about 20 minutes of work, the pressure starts to go down on the fuel level until it goes out, it is noticed that the pressure starts to go down when the steam purge management valve starts to increase. for example: the valve has 30% and the fuel pressure drops from 50 or 60 psi to 47 psi and the valve reaches 80%, the pressure drops to 25 or 30 psi, the fuel pump also starts to to work with a modulated work cycle of 75% at a time low to 6% and gradually ascend without stopping until 50% and from there on, just speed up completely, I have a code that always appears and is P1237 and revises all wiring and electrical part of the rear module, f box usibles, relay and fuel pump and everything is good, i hope to help me please i need to revive the jaguar and this is the last problem that i could not fix.

Other than body styling (which is admittedly an important part) is there much difference between 2003 - 2006 XJ 6 and 2005 (facelift) S-Type. Looking at internal views of cars for sale there does not appear to be much difference.
