Hi Joe - just got an apologetic email via ebay - they don't have any in Lithuania. However I got a text from Williams Jaguar Manchester yesterday (who have had my car since its MOT failure in April) informing me that JLR had just delivered the correct part. It appears that JLR have now got them - they originally told me that they had changed suppliers and were awaiting the part to be re-tooled. Try and give them a call 0161 232 5000. -

Hi Stephen, I have the same problem (both left and right not working). I was originally told they were available in Lithuania; perhaps that was the eBay link from John, but they disappeared when we tried to order. -

All sorted, read the handbook and assume the wiper up position is the same as the wiper down described in the handbook. Then press the square button and push off

Hi Allan, there is currently a 4.2 XKR exhaust system for sale of the JEC Classifieds website, no price given unfortunately, but looks in good condition. Link here: jec.org.uk/classifieds/index.php?page=car-parts&id=4359 Alternatively, you could check out some of the aftermarket suppliers such as Paramount. N6 JMX

Hi, i have a bulb fault light on dash of a jag xj6 x300 3.2 1995, The indicators, wipers, centrol locking not working and no start, is there a common connection to isolate the cause of these problems these problems and get my car running again ? thanks Gaz

Hi Kevin, the short answer is that you "should" be able to fill either car with the petrol of your own choosing and the car's brain will adjust the settings of the engine to cater for the fuel in use - especially the case with the newer 5.0 litre car. However, for peace of mind, the car will definitely run better and return a healthier MPG if you use the higher octane fuels. Here in the UK, we get the choice of E10 or E5, with the number representing the percentage of ethanol contained within the fuel. Some folks have experienced fuel system issues when using the E10 fuel, e.g. leaking fuel lines, as the higher ethanol content can easier exploit weaknesses in the system. In my own case, running the the supercharged XKR (2010), I use E5 fuel, which is generally 98 or 99 RON (octane), occasionally 100. Ultimately, it is your choice, but opting to use the lower octane / cheaper fuel, may well turn out to be a poor choice with problems down the line. N6 KMX

I work for a JLR main dealer and have F-PACE's as my company cars. My mileage dictates that I usually have to change them at 3 months old with around 6k miles (hence I have gone through a lot of them in the last 4 years !) I have never yet had one that has needed any additional oil. Unless it was underfilled in the first place, a litre per 500 miles sounds ridiculous. Based on the statement from the dealer, expect to use 42 litres between oil changes ! (21,000 miles or 2 years) ! -
Hi Kevin, Yes, (touching wood as I type!), no electrical problems since the battery was replaced! Cheers! Jon
