Bluetooth has suddenly stopped working in 2012 XK
Dunshuntin replied to GXK's topic in XK / XKR (X150) 2006 - 2014
Hi Gavin I don't know if you have fixed this in the last month but it was part of the IOS upgrade that caused similar problems across many brands and cars. Apple have since run another upgrade that solved the issue. - Today

What a load of rubbish, it's a stop start button, you don't put the key in the ignition, it's a fob.

I bought a 2021 Jaguar XF Mild Hybrid in 2023. within 6 months of purchase the engine warning light came on whilst driving to Austria. The local main agent said that he had cured the fault but it came back on on the return journey. The car went in to the local main agent for a service and on driving away the light came on again. The diagnoses this time was a loose wire, which they said they corrected. Since then the light keeps appearing and I eliminate the "fault" with my diagnostic tool. Having got fed up with his I got another main dealer to look at the car. They said the fault was in the filter in the EGR and replaced it. Needless to say the warning light has come on again. When using my diagnostic tool there is no fault code shown. Does anyone have any idea where the fault is and how to remedy it.

To reprogram a Jaguar XF key FOB, you can follow these steps: Fixya+1 Insert the key into the ignition. Turn the key to "I". Turn the key to "II" and back to "I" quickly 4 times. The alarm system should chime once when the key is back to "I" for the 4th time. Remove the key from the ignition. Press any button on each key FOB and the alarm system will chime. Alternatively, you can reprogram the key with an OBDII scanner. If you fail to do it yourself, you may have to visit an authorized dealer for reprogramming of the key. 1 1 Source

I have this problem on my passenger seat - I brought a whole seat but that didnt work either - it came with a 16 way module and my car had 10 way, Ive brought a second had 10 way module which made no difference, my seat is fully reclined - the front edge of the seat goes up and down fine, also when I operate the switch I can hear the module click - I have SDD but when I try Recal or add a new module it always fails, any ideas also does the newere XF module have to 10 way to work in my 06 X150?

Hi John, Thanks again for all of your advice. The Jag has been to the garage and they have done a full diagnostic on it. They found a short circuit in O2 sensor control module bank 2 sensor 1. The previous owner had replaced this sensor, but with a cheap aftermarket part. I have had an OEM Denso sensor fitted to replace the faulty sensor and all is well. Drives like a dream and you wouldn't tell the car is 18 years old as its immaculate inside and out. Tax and fuel costs are a little steep, but the smiles it gives me are well worth it 😁 Cheers, Steve

New member and a front suspension question
Steve chapman posted a topic in New Members Introductions
Hi all, Steve here, just joined and hoping to get some feedback regarding a bit of a mystery. I am doing a refurb of the front suspension on my XKR X100, 2002MY. I have the upper wishbone fulcrum bolt out and to my surprise it has a larger diametre at the bolt end... Never seen that before. The diametre is the same as the diametre of the inner sleeve of the new bushing, but the existing bushing's sleeve fits over it... So the two upper bushings have different diametres. Everything I have read states they are same bush front and rear. Any ideas?? I am guessing (and it really is a guess) that once upon a time an inner sleeve got fused to the fulcrum and instead of replacing the fulcrum a suitable bush was sourced. Anyways, I guess I have to either purchase a new fulcrum bolt or put this one on a lath and turn it to the correct diametre. What do you chaps think? Any input appreciated! -

Hello All, thanks for letting me join the club. Can anyone advise on the following problem. The bonding holding the rear window to the soft top on my Jag XK has failed causing the window to fall inwards. I guess it must be caused by the intense heat over the last couple of weeks. Also, it is a 2008 model. Can anyone recommend a ‘specialist’ in the Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire area that could fix it, please? My local garage can’t help me. Thanks

So having had this issue I believe I have found the primary cause when its the throttle body (TB) and more importantly how to fix it at very little cost. See this thread on the UK F-Pace Forum. https://www.fpaceforums.co.uk/threads/sticky-throttle-body-fix-p0234.8166/?post_id=90121#post-90121 I'll keep it up dated, but please feel free to distribute the news to any TDV6 or SDV6 forums. Ford designed this engine, but it was/is used by others, such as Land Rover, Range Rover, Jaguar, Citroen, Peugeot & some other's I believe.

completetly different cars...EV vs diesel - personally would go for xf 3.0d...much more refined than 2.0. depending what year make we talking about in terms of 2.0 ingenium diesel. after 2019 there were design changes to it and they are more reliable than in 2016-2018 models

Personally I replaced my 2013 2,2 XF Sportbrake with an MB GLC 220D as the aircon would have cost around £2000 to fix (£30 TX valve, rest for labour!). I would have preferred to go for the newer XF sportbrake but was put off by the Ingenium engines which have a woeful reputation. The I pace does appeal to me, particularly if you are not bothered by depreciation as they are now available for a fraction of the "new" price although I am still nervous about EV battery longevity and "range anxiety".

Bought a 2000 XK8. Broken timing chain. Knew valves were bent. Replaced them all. Reassembled motor. Ready to install the cams and took my new tool from my kit and pulled the crankshaft positioning sensor. Put the tool in and turned the crankshaft to line it up. The tool never caught. It bottomed out in the hole. It does not appear to be long enough to fit in a hole in the flywheel. is there a piece that fell 0ff the flywheel. ? Or is my tool too short?
