I have decided to get rid of the noisy Uniroyal rainsport 3s ( which are wearing very uneven ) , so  just had the car fully  aligned, camber was  way out at rear and toe on left front was bad.

Ordered 4  x  Goodyear 245/40R18 Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 97YXL  £454 fully fitted

Had these on my Saab and they are super quiet hoping for the same on the Jag.

The toy?  a fully wired in nextbase 412gw dash cam. I have a blackvue  for my HGV but can never be bothered to set it up for the 15 min journey to work. i got put on the grass verge the other day so decided it was about time to get one. Not a bad price with the membership discount either , half the price of a blackvue doing the same

Hi Gary,

I have the Goodyears on the front and will have them on the rear when the Pirellis need replacing.  I found the Goodyears rather quiet.

I also used the discount at Halfords buying the same nextbase!

Great minds!

Regards,

Peter.

Well done Gary, not the cheapest choice for tyres then, but tyres are something that shouldn't be scrimped on. No experience of the dash cams, so interested in how you get on with that :wink1:

I had these on tyres on my Saab, very good grip and very quiet, just dont know about the wear yet. The uniroyals have lots tread left, but badly worn on edges and seem to have steps across the width, extremely noisy tyres as well , so glad to get them off.

will update what they are like after tomorrow

dash cam is very good, but you need an upto date PC /laptop to play them back, video is jumpy otherwise. Play back works well on my phone though. When I get time to set up my pc I will upload a video. At1440p quality if video is very good.

Well that didn't go according to plan, booked in at 12.30 only be told when I get there they can't fit ime in until later. Now booked in at Halfords next week . I think Asda tyres have taken fitter off their list after my compliant.

I do hate booking a time then as soon as you get there they start with excuses why they can't do it. Grrrr

I have used Halfords for tyres for a few years.  Quit Fit and Formula I ar close and Halfords will always undercut them.

Got the tyres fitted today, car is so much quieter, more grip, will just have to see how they wear now, but so far very pleased with them
