Looking for advice-I own a 2008 xkr convertible and if I double lock the doors the alarm will sound later whereas if I single lock I have no problem. My inde jag dealer advises that the alarm on double lock can be activated by differential air pressure within the cabin ie if somebody cuts through the hood to gain access or a movement within ie a trapped insect. They tried a new sensor but the system continues to sound as previously. It is annoying for my neighbours at night thus have to single lock the doors and affix a krooklock as a  deterrent.Has any one else had this problem and have a solution.ps I am not a technical person thus keep your answers simple thanx

You need to hook it up to code reader and find out exactly what is activating the alarm. Surprised your Indy didn’t advise that in the first place.

Hi

Thanx for the response the garage did try the code reader but to no avail.they contacted jaguar who advised that this problem was not uncommon and that I should authorise anew sensor. This I agreed to but the problem re occurred- guess there is a problem with the quality of parts (not unknowned in jag circles).

Thanx again jack
