Power folding mirrors

I have an XJ8 year 2004  and being new to jaguar I have e come up with a problem with the drivers side  power folding mirror.

If the mirror has been knocked out of position how do I correct it.

First, make sure the passenger side is in the folded position then simply push the drivers side to the folded position. Now unfold electrically and they should work together.

I did what you suggested but did not get satisfactory result so I flushed the mechanism with release Oil and operated the unit it manualy . A piece of the alloy mechanism had broken off and caused an obstruction and wash flushed out  by the flushing. I repeated your method and both are now working..
