Hi there. Proud owner of a 2004 XJ8 . The only thing on the car that I just bought ( my first Jag,) that isn't working are the electric mirrors. They appear to be seized. I can hear the motors , and drivers side one now moves about an inch after a few blasts of WD40. I can't seem to get into them . I don't want to force anything. Any advice would be very gratefully received.

Also ,see pic, can anyone tell me if my wheels were from an XJR ? Can't find them in the Jaguar Catalogue of that year? My car has XJR seats fitted as well I think ? IMG_20210811_092308_762.thumb.jpg.e7e1c4a2e142e24169b1bd010e3eb47f.jpg

Welcome to the forum.

Forcing them will do more harm than good. You will need to remove the painted cover first. This will reveal the amount of crud that has built up around the operating mechanism, all of which needs to be cleaned out.

Lubricate on completion of cleaning and you should be ok.
