Hello from Cornwall!

Recommended Posts

Just purchased myself the new (well almost new) Polaris White XKR, I'm an absolute sucker for Clarksons reviews despite them not always being right and never really would've considered a Jaguar unless it was an E-Type so went along with this one. Absolute cracker to drive so far! Apart from the consumption from a happy right foot im very chuffed!

Hope to see a few of you out and about on the road!

John

  • 2 years later...

Hi is there anyone out There! All the posts are Three Years old, I live near St.Austell and drive an 11 year old S.Type 3Ltr SE, and wondered if anyone in Cornwall would be interested in the odd Friendly Meeting and Drive.

I hear that this sort of thing goes on all over the Country but as yet I haven't found anything in Cornwall.

Regards to all you Jaguar Owners and Jaguar Lovers.

Colin

Well I am in Plymouth and have a 2001 S Type 3.0 Automatic - teething problems with it should I say that costing me a few quid.

Where is the page to post meets or classic car shows etc. Thats part of the fun is to meet up and share experiences.

Sio yes Colin would love to meet up one Sunday. See if we can get some more interested.

I am still a member of the Rover75 club and there are so many meets, rideouts and classic car shows to attend.

I must admit, some of the posts are old but nevertheless useful and there are people on here who will help. I would be interested to know what the current membership total is and where everyone is located by means of a UK map. Could we not have a map put on here then by means of our profile those current members have a flag of their location so that when you run a mouse pointer is run over it, it comes up with their name and location. Just an idea.

Thank you for the response, I would be happy to get together one Sunday, a ride out with Lunch somewhere, I saw a link to a Saltash group but I thought I was outside their Catchment area, but if you are Plymouth we could join the Saltash meetings if they still exist.

I have had a few teething problems with my S Type, but the pleasure in driving it, out ways the problems.

Regards to you Colin

Hi Colin and Robert,

A few answers  ---  There is a topic which new members can use to show their location  on Jaguar Owners Lounge titled What's your Location.

If you want to organise a meet just throw your idea on to that forum and ask who won't to meet up.  I am sure you will get some replies.

Regards

Peter.

Old peter - hiya again. I know i have only recently joined but an ex project manager and web design (not programmer) it would be nice to see a few enhancements on here with regard to Events and Meetings which would enhance the site and enable members to arrange local meets, national meets and information on classic car meetings organised in the UK.

If your interested or any other members interested, I could private message the relevant people for consideration.

Its a great way to bring people together and learn whats going on in the UK.

Love to know your thoughts.

PS I have added my name to the list of where everyone is but to be honest its quite long winded scrolling through the pages to find others within your local area. I am sure there must be a simpler way to pull information from profiles within County.
