I am glad to be here,dd see your forum on twiter.

its now three years since i purchased this beauty,but last week my favourite jag refused to engage reverse gear,the other gears are functioning well.

I am just an old Steelworker whose favourite tool is a lump hammer  --  but never on a Jaguar!

I used to own an XJS without a reverse gear...I used it for about a year by just driving into parking spaces that I knew I could drive straight out of without reversing...although I did forget a couple of times!
