Providing you have the SAT Nav, then all you need is a phone that has blue tooth and pair it to the unit in the car..

What system do you have in your car? if its a stand alone car phone I am sure other members have these and will answer your question, once we know what system you are talking about.

I did what Stan did, or should I say the stealership did it for me, just paired the phone to the car's bluetooth system. Not that i ever use it as I can't stand the things .

Saw a very strange sight yesterday, I saw a teenage girl walking down the road not texting !

The phone is a factory fitted Motorola system. No blue tooth system. Hubby looked on internet and Vodaphone SIM was suggested.Has hands free system to use.

Hi Margaret,

If you use you phone a lot in the car and it needs topping up Sainsburys are offering 11 p a litre off when you top up their free SIM.  How long that will last for is not known.

On the other hand the nearest Sainsbury's petrol station is 11 miles away and my local shell station is offering diesel at £1.349 a litre.

And, Trevor

Personally, I use my mobile phone in the car only when parked, and I rarely instigate a call even then.

When I go on the train to London I was once sat in a seat when a bloke was constantly shouting down the 'phone all of the journey trying to sell dome sting wind vanes to general electricity.  I now sit in Coach A which is the quiet zone.

Regards,

Peter

Peter.

Mine is one of those hands free jobbies , but I have never phoned from the car , just received the odd call from the wife to mither ( taking northern lessons for my trip a week Thursday) from a distance, mobile phones are my pet hate, especially Iphones.

I have been told by various mechanics not to use supermarket fuel as it is inferior, so for the sake of a few pence , I don't ; the nearest place that does it is 17 miles away anyhow . which would defeat the object .

I don't know if they were just refering to petrol, or the devil's fuel also .

Not been on a train for thirty years , apart from one of those trendy smelly rattly steam jobs, or a bus for fifteen .

Trevor

Hi Trevor,

I have found that the car runs better on the fuel from the local Shell Garage.  And now and then I put in half a tank of the super deluxe stuff.

I have to go to London quite a bit as I am a Pension Trustee, and also sit on a Committee which meets in London.  The train is much quicker and cheaper using a Railcard, but you sometimes have to suffer from the inconsiderate passenger with a mobile phone.

When I was working, I bought my own mobile phone rather than take the one that I could have had with my job  ---  my reason   --  I could switch it off when I wanted to.

Regards,

Peter.

We don't have any trains here anyway.

Most people seem to think that their cars run better from fuel bought locally, so perhaos there is something in it .

Cheering on for Oxford in the boat race as my daughter used to cox a few of the eights there, and it's also my favourite Northern town
