Hi and welcome to the club
Does it go away when the car heats up?
-
The heater matrix may have a small leak that expands when the car gets hot.
Basically works like a kettle :)
If it is then you can get additives to that you add to the header tank. Otherwise its dash out :(
But it could be something simple, like a leaky door seal.

I cannot see why they would not fit, the boss should fit no problems.. but the only thing that bothers me is airbags.
I am not 100% though. Hopefully someone with knowledge of these will answer

Welcome to the Jaguiar owners Club and congrats on the new purchase :)

By the way welcome to the club.

HI Welcome to the Jaguar Owners CLub :)
Yes these are missing the temprature guage and now the car will warn you when the engine is over heating.
To be honest, if the car is over heating it can take a few minutes to reach a critical point.. how would you ever know with a normal temprature guage without checking it every minute.
So I guess a good warning chime when the car is over heating is the best way i guess.

Big 4x4s just fly over them... I had a toyota surf once that just glided over them, hardly felt a thing

I have claimed before on extended warrnty.. i had a car that the injectors went.. saved a bomb.
just get the right cover on the most common things to go wrong.

I have driven a Diesel Toyota with a box and they work well. Most cars have limits that manufacturers keep
http://www.bhpplus.co.uk/ also do these.

We were sick of trawling the internet endlessly for good automotive stuff. Why can't it be all in one place, we asked? Well it can be! So we have decided to build our own marketplace with all things automotive.
This is just the beginning. Future plans are to create an entire marketplace, featuring everything car related. Welcoming sellers from our own community, as well as sourcing the best products for our members. We aim to get the best products and deals available...all in one place. Your comments and feedback on the products will form a valuable source of insight to other members, and as ever, your feedback is most welcome.
Please check out the shop, we are still beta testing it but everything should work as it should.

Some great news for you all! Clamping on private land has now been banned in England and Wales so no more cowboy clampers roaming the streets. Check out our story for all the facts http://www.jaguarownersclub.com/news/clamping-banned-in-england-and-wales-jagWe think this is some of the best news that us motorists could get but what do you think?

Hi Stu
Welcome to the Jaguar owners Club
I don't have an X-Type, but would you have a picture of that?
-
Just unscrew the knob... its on pretty tight
-
Jaguar are moving in to a younger market with it's new line up, so don't feel you will be an old git. I am 41 and love em.
People think of jags as old classic cars..
go and enjoy a car you've always wanted
-
cant wait to see it in the flesh
-
I wonder if the car has had a new windscreeen before?
-
HI
This sounds like you have a problem with some of the glow plugs. The car will turn itself off if there is a fault.
It may have logged a code in the engine management system so you should try and see if one is available by having your car connected to a diagnostic machine.
Another new member! :)
