Hi Vincent
Welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club
You may need to have the code cleared from the ECU. Give that a try first, Any local garage with the computer should be able to clear this.

Hi Bounce
The set belt mount should just unbolt

Hi Nick
Perhaps when closing the drivers window the motor or switch has a fault?
Reset the battery again and then open sunroof and window then close the drivers window and try holding the swtich on the drivers wndow to close. Keeping your finger on the switch does the sunroof close when holding the button down?

hi and welcome
when you tried the fuse did you replace it totally?
-
hi mac
Can you describe the problem to me please... much detail as poss. thanks
-
Sorry to hear that. It doesnt always work out for everyone. I know I saved well over £100 from the comparison sites so it can work for some.
Make sure Tesco do not add on Voluntary Excess as well as compulsory excess.. i found Tesco hide the Voluntary Excess when I got a quote, in small text.

I quite like the growler, but there is nothing like seeing the leaping cat on your bonnet from the drivers view

welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club mate

When you keep your finger on the unlock key all the windows open? Thats normal if it is.
I am thinking whether this is a security feature only leaving the front doors unlocked?
-
sounds like the imobilser if you hasve to keep unlocking the doors. Perhaps the transponder is faulty?
You can get a new imobiser for around £90, but get the one with the transponder inside the key, not the push in the hole one.. they are a pain

Hi Jae
I recommend visiting the factory at Castle Bromwich in Birmingham.. you can see XF and XJ's being built.
The heritage museum is now closed for 2 years so only the factory is the place i know you can visit.
check this page and you will need t call to book a place: http://www.jaguar.com/gl/en/experience/visits/factory_visits

Hi David
Have yu looked at buying keys from a 3rd party source? There are some key programming services around that may be cheaper.
Problem is, if it doesnt work for you (both oem or 3rd party fobs) then you could be left with installing an aftermarket alarm system on top of the cost of the keys.

Hi Nick
2120 is the ID number for your account.
Where did you see this information Nick? We have not had any contact with them at all.
We do however get confused with another club as I get emails about things I am not aware of, so somewhere there is a missprint or some confusion

Hi Bob
Is it a Jaguar OEM part, is it branded Jaguar?
