Hi all, I am slightly further West (Pagham), but the New Forest sounds great.  I drive a 2013 XF and love it 🙂

Another one for the gathering.....we're getting there now!
That would be a good trip for you Simon as some great driving roads en-route to the Forest

Seems like we're all Poole, Bournemouth, New Forest region so I guess a central location would be good although a spin out to the NF would also be nice. I'm not originally from this area so don't really know where we could all meet in Public without it being a well used car park? I guess we could pick a pub and ask the landlord if they don't mind us meeting occasionally although we're into the dark nights now and it would be nice to see the cars. Alternatively, I don't work Friday's so a Friday afternoon would be good although I appreciate that this might not suit everyone.

Sounds like a plan is hatching Mark, as long as it involves a beer at some point in the proceedings 🙂

I think as you say the New Forest is an ideal place as got plenty of good roads to drive through there and also there aren't any roadworks which seem to currently be plaguing the BCP road network.

I am in Ringwood area so anywhere in the New Forest area is good for me.....anyone else have any preferences, good pubs, etc?

  3. Moved this post to a new section in the forums especially for members who wish to meet up within the South Coast areas.

Feel free to make arrangements within the group for any local meetings you wish to set up or attend and we will help to promote these through the membership.

Hi, sorry, only just seen this post.

I'm in Poole and would be happy to meet up.....I have an XK8 convertible.

I'm also an ex Jag design/development engineer so have lots of stories about working for the company

    Has anything been arranged yet?

    Hi Mark

Lets see how many more we can get to start a local meeting or just go for it with a few of us and see if it increases over time?
Any suggestions of where and when you suit and go from there?

    Regards,  Trevor

Finally, after about 18 months, I've purchased a 2005 XK8 4.2 convertible in Quartz with Ivory and 19" Atlas wheels.  perfect.

Congratulations! feel free to pop up some pics of the XK8

Notice that you are in Dorset, we are currently trying to put together a local meeting in the Dorset area so feel free to join us

  6. We sent one out to you a couple of days ago so you should be receiving it shortly

Hi Im having the same issue with my card so I checked and order a new one how long should I expect to wait as I’m waiting to purchase something it’s been about a week

  7. What a fantastic car and plenty of provenance with it, especially the bullet hole which is definitely worth keeping there as a talking point.

I see the vehicle weight is in excess of 3 tonne, tyre pressures to match it as well 🙂

Thanks for sharing with us such a great car!

Thanks for letting me join,  I bought a xf 3 litre diesel, I think the bearing has spun. I am going to remove the engine and investigate, what is the best method  for removing the engine, e.g. from above, or below, with or without gearbox, thanks

    Hi Jason....welcome to the Club

I would remove the engine from below complete with the transmission and subframe if working without lifting equipment.

  9. Sounds like a regular local meeting could be forming.

Afternoon, I am Highcliffe, Christchurch based and have a 2007 XK X150 and an F Pace.  Cliffhanger Cafe on the Highcliffe sea front would be good, or for lunches the Beach House Hotel Milford on Sea would I am sure welcome a few growlers and their lunching owners.

I would be happy to come along and meet a few more local owners.

  10. Hi Chris, Mudeford Quay is good for me this Sunday....although I may be turning up with either a BMW Z3 (as hopefully going to event at Beaulieu earlier in the day) or if not on my Harley (weather permitting)
Would be around 3.00 to 3.30 pm and will try to park near the Cafe as possible....see you then

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_299.jpg Well, it was a nice day for a beer in the sun! 🙂
