  1. Hi Stuart...welcome to the Club ....and welcome to the world of Jaguar also !
  2. can't find anything on eBay or the like, so probably Dealer only part
  3. Diesel engines have a certain amount of wash-down from the fuel and other deposits that contaminate the oil and can be caustic/acidic which can harm the white-metal bearing shells if left over time. Equally, if the engine is low usage then you can experience wash-down of petrol into the oil and is noticeable by the smell. This can cause problems with compression and poor starting.
  4. Great news! I always think of it like the Dentists waiting room...and the apprehension of how much pain and money it's going to cost me.

  9. Thanks for the information Rowley, certainly worth a small investment to get big returns on noise reduction but also has many other beneficial effects upon the engine and ancillary components Read more here http://www.eurekamagazine.co.uk/design-engineering-features/technology/overrunning-alternator-pulley-improves-internal-combustion-engine/39568/

  13. You could try typing in the reg number into DVLA MOT History website https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ as this shows mileages between MOT tests That is assuming any info exists for it with DVLA being that its from Ireland...sorry, know very little about Irish registered cars
  14. Welcome back Stephen
  15. Worth keeping a eye on the fluid manually rather than relying on the electronics as usually when a warning comes up its already too late to stop somewhere and top up, usually at great cost (albeit 60 pence). Maybe worth carrying a container with pre-mixed screenwash as an emergency supply. If you think there is an issue, e.g. the fluid is leaking out or similar then I would take it up with the dealer though whilst its under warranty.
  16. Good question, cannot think why they wouldn't as it would enhance the models to have more as standard
  17. Hi Jeff This may be an issue with the size of the original image that you are attempting to upload. If you can reduce it and try again to see if that works, if not let me know and I will see what I can do this end Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi Jeff....welcome to the Forum Here is a link to a post that has been going for a few years now with personal recommendations for garages. Not sure who's in your area but you can have a sift through. Cheers, Trevor
  19. I have run Toyo's on other cars before and always found them to be durable and exceptional handling capabilities, but not overly cheap. Here is a link to a recent poll from Jag drivers on their preferences
