You will need to get the fault codes read
If you don’t have a code reader yourself, go to an independent garage to get them read. This will be a lot cheaper
Otherwise it’s just guesswork

You’ll need to get the security aspect of the car reprogrammed
Because the main battery failed, it’s scrambled the security modules brains
-
The glow plug light will only come on if it’s cold enough outside

Here you go:
Copy and paste this in the eBay search thingy
DuroSense TPMS Tyre Pressure Sensor Preprogrammed For Jaguar | DS167JAG

I went through this nightmare with exactly the same car - year as well.
When the correct tpms valves get fitted, the car should recognise them, otherwise they are the wrong ones. Fit the right ones and five minutes later at above 20mph and the lights go out
I got them from eBay and are blue, that’s what I remember
I’ll try and find the ones I fitted…

Check and see if the car’s charging the battery

Agreed
Old or low Oil. Get the correct stuff and go for thar first - it’s going to be waaay the cheapest…
Next is the super expensive bits, namely, torque converter or worn g/box clutch plates

It will
don’t put your foot on the brake when you press the start button

You have to wait ten minutes for the Oil level bit
Mirrors will fold when the door lock’s fixed or replaced, they are linked
Get the diff fixed, otherwise it’ll cost you an arm and a leg

I’ll go for diesel dilution, miles since last reset and time
The choice is yours
If in any doubt, change it anyway

What is the engine size?
what are the symptoms leading up to restricted mode?
what are the codes thrown up?
why did the garage say you need a new block?
-
Good idea to check for water in the boot too
-
These codes are classic battery problem codes.
Did you tell the battery monitoring system that you have a new battery?
-
Lots of things can throw up an RP issue, but if the fault code points to the turbo, I think I’d be rooting about there first

Hi Coolcity. Have you got to the fault yet? I have exactly the same problem! A repair was carried out under my AA warranty but it did not help.
The garage tried various other things including a repair to the plastic manifold but I picked it up today and it happened again..Having been off the road for
3 months at the garage I am now hesitant to take it back! I am starting to think we are all 'over thinking' this and maybe its just a partly blocked fuel filter - I
am fitting a new one tommorow. We shall see?!
Very difficult or pretty much impossible to fix an air leak on the manifold
They might look plastic, but it’s some kind of composite
It should have been changed if they got that far to attempt a repair
-
If they work ok in the dry, then it must be a rain sensor fault
-
Welding to wheels?
tell us more…

They probably just want to empty your wallet
But I’m an awfy cynic…
-
The module normally doesn’t need replaced, just reprogrammed
There is a jag indie in paisley across from st mirrens ground (can’t remember their name) who would help and be considerably cheaper
-
It’s ok to use the supermarket stuff
I do and 150000 miles later it’s still running like a Swiss watch
The absolute best thing you can do for your engine is change the Oil (correct handbook spec) regularly
-
Don’t let the dealer fob you off
Get it back to the shop pronto and get them to fix it
-
Did you boot it to put it into restricted performance?
-
You’re right though…
It does look like a vacuum leak
