  1. Both of these items (diagnostic is NEW). Laptop was reset by seller with Windows XP so as I could run the diagnostics unit. My computer literacy at 72 years is not great and I have never managed to get around to running the programme. Have now purchased other diagnostics and am offering these items for sale if anyone interested. Pdf on how to use the IDS SDD program are available on line. Open to sensible offers on both items together and will not split them. Delivery charges: you can collect or make arrangements for a courier yourself. Or if other questions please message me. The packaging for the Laptop is still available in the form as it was delivered very well protected by ups to me. The diagnostic unit will also fit into the well protected box and packaging. Plainly being a private sell I am not able to offer any warranty/guarantee with these items. 3. I believe that if the production of a badge as long as it were acceptable presentation, even if of plastic production, this would be welcomed by members. It is possible that members would be prepared, on site of the proposed badge, to order and pay up front to enable the production to happen. Perhaps you could organise a poll or similar to verify the popularity of the idea/proposal. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  4. I believe that if it were enquired into on the grounds of an acceptable plastic badge of some description that members would probably be prepared to commit to and or pay for the badges production up front of delivery. May be you should organise a poll or similar into the subject. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  5. Glyn I have an S-Type and have to do exactly the same thing. I do not have a garage and have a wire/lead from the house to the car. The boot lid will shut and I have put some extra tape around the cable from the house in the area that I trap in the boot lid seal. It does no harm to the supply lead. The other thing I have done, because my cable crosses over the path to our front door is purchased a rubber wire concealing strip that has yellow lines on it as a warning. I do not want the postman or anyone else tripping over the supply cable and hurting themselves or "seeing a profitable claim on me." Best wishes and Regards, John
  6. If they are not available (and I have never seen anything to suggest they are), is it possible that the club can look into acquiring some/having some made, for purchase. May be they would need to be paid for (I.E. Ordered) by members wanting them before they are manufactured. Could be that the club might consider asking the question if a source of manufacture could be found. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  7. Am assuming you are talking a petrol engine ??????????? . Also assuming litre cost of around £1.48, which would be about 24 gallons . Assuming Southampton to London is around 80 miles. That is therefore an MPG of 3.3 . WOW that is a lot of petrol. My 2005 (Facelift) 2.5 V6 does an average 23 -24 around and about locally and on a run like you describe I would expect it to return 26 - 27 MPG. Assuming you do not have a VERY heavy right foot then you have serious fuel problems which need attention very quickly before some major damage is done. Best Wishes and Regards, John
  8. Joe I think I will invest in one of these. Since I bought the plug in SDD diagnostics and the Laptop Widows XP to run it, I have never conquered the what I consider complicated technology of getting to use it. Could, I suppose, hope sell the Laptop and SDD diagnostics. May be there is someone younger that me and more computer literate that would like to buy it. It might even sell if listed on this Forum. Thanks again for your help. Best Wishes and Regards, John
