Just wondering if a club member who knows their way around Synology NAS and lives close to Wolverhampton might be prepared to set mine up properly please. It is a model DS1815+
It was previously setup by a numpty (that'll be me then) and there's no way I'm going to attempt to re-configure it on my own because I haven't got a clue what to do.
Thanks in advance

All's well that ends well 🙂
Perfectly functioning instrument cluster. Turnround time less than 48 hours. And the lights work properly again.

I get my instrument cluster back tomorrow so hoping this fault will sort itself out 🙂

I forgot to mention, the instrument cluster is out for LED replacements. Maybe that has something to do with it.

2013 XF-S V6
I just noticed this morning that although the car was switched off, some of the rear lights were on. The DRLs are also on.
Any ideas please?

Hi
How do you make a D2B (fibre optic loop) connection? Do I still need one (D2B fibre optic loop connection) if I fit Jag voice?
Many thanks.
You can buy an appropriate lead from fleabay or make one up if you've a stock of cables / connectors.
You need a D2B connection for Voice.

OK. Thanks Joe

Does anybody know if the full search version is available please?

I upgraded my 2008 XF Premium Luxury to the top of the range Bowers and Wilkins setup.
I was lucky enough to have a donor car so the transplant was relatively painless. The head unit does need to be changed to the multi disk version,
All the wiring was pre-installed with the exception of the centre dashboard speaker and it was no biggie to lay in a loom for that,
IIRC, it took 2 hours from start to finish, plus 20 minutes programming with SDD.
Overall, the B & W was well worth the time effort and cost. As far as cost was concerned, the breaker who had to donor car asked for £50 and I could take whatever I wanted.

If you have heated / cooled seats it might be the underseat fan.

I wouold agree with Jon.
Laterstsatnav.co.uk are very quick and my update went with no problems.

Problem solved 🙂
I used a couple of self adhesive anti-scratch felt feet on the plastic cover of the seat back locking latch. This gives just enough tension between the seat back and the bulkhead so that when unlocked it springs forward a millimetre or so, ensuring the lock dos not re-engage and the seat back can be pulled down.
Simple and totally effective 🙂

Wow! Sorry to hear that.. I can’t claim anything so noble,
Nothing noble 🙂 It was the long term result of an accident while carrying out maintenance on a Nimrod aircraft while based on Assension Island.
Anyway, I have a used cable and latch assembly on the way from eBay and a friend who will help fit it 🙂

Yes, I’ve wondered that. I can’t see anything that’s actually broken on mine compared to the other one, but that would likely be what’s happened.
My issue is a bad back so crouching and twisting to look in there in detail isn’t really on. Hence the clothes peg “fix”
LOL. Mine is a displaced hip courtesy of the Falklands war. No chance of gtting into the boot myself 😞

If it's anything like my nearside one, the cable in the boot simply doesn't hold position when pulled. It snaps back to the locked position.
Yes, having just checked, that is the situation with mine. I wonder if there is some way of adjusting the cable so it doesn't immediately re-engage.

Anybody able to help please?
When I pull the release lever on the driver's side rear seat back it unlocks and drops into place. The passenger side lever moves but the seat doesn't release.
Any ideas / assistance would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Nope. Not sure what is meant. Very pricy part though.

No idea what he's on about. If it's an online seller perhaps you'd send the link so I can have look.
This one seems OK and I've bought from this seller before without any problem 🙂

Hi Paul, pleased to meet you on the forum, I just joined after purchasing an S-Type 2003 2.5 V6 petrol (with nav, elect. Handbrake and phone set under armrest) here in The Netherlands. Could you please advise on:
- Replacing the telephone with blue tooth option (I am not very technical, however eager to learn)
- Upgrading the navsat software
- Upgrading the system software.
# 1 would be more relevant than the other two.
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
Sorry for the delay, I wasn't notified of your post.
1. If your car has D2B optical network then the first post in this thread applies 🙂
2. Any of the online suppliers of update disks, although you won't find one later than 2012.
3. Ugh. Leve it alone. Even I wouls be scared to go diving into the system that far with my trusty SDD. What did you want to achieve?

Hi
Can anyone tell me the part number of the unit in the above photo please ?
regards
7W93-10D893-AB will get you where you want to go. Please be aware that the last two letters are not important in choosing a module. By all means let me know if I can help.
PS, don't forget the microphone and the FAKRA aerial. Also a good idea to bung a Jaguar Voice module in as well. Saves modifying the wiring and adds a very useful additional toy. 🙂

Paul have you driven a 75 lately?
No, can't say as I have.

Perhaps, the memories were better than the reality.
No, I don't think so Paul. I enjoyed both my 75s, especially the auto. It might be significant that several people with Jaguars seem to have progressed on to them from the 75.

My XF was in dock this week for a repair to bodywork damage.
I had a new Vauxhall Corsa as a courtesy car and I have to say tht it was a perfectly competant form of transport but oh my days, what a difference compared to the XF.
I never realizde just how good the XF was in terms of performance, gadgets, luxury and so forth, basically just everything.
She came home looking pristine again last evening and I admit to just wasting fuel in going for a drive for no other reason than to enjoy the car.
I guess this just serves to reinforce why I like the Jaguar 🙂

As subject, does anybody have a Draco 20" wheel for sale please? Doesn't need to have a tyre

Personally, I entrusted mine to a ZF agent. Some garages don't understand the fluid required and the procedure.
They charged me £385 in total. That was 8 months ago.
