  1. i agree with kenny a lot of work indeed also i take it when you say you have the clutch gearbox etc it is a new one and not secondhand ? or did all of it come from the same car even if it did , id still fit a new clutch kit if i was going ahead with this task. regards ron

  3. hi Phil welcome welcome to the family lots to look at on the forums / threads etc post some photo up if you have not already done so, their is also a few meets happening one in Brighton on the 24th May 15 about 60 cars and in Scotland on June 7th about the same amount , Im going up for a long w/end to make the most of it anyways welcome again regards Ron
  4. morning all just an update on the Halfords card if anyone is having trouble using it at the checkouts the cards are valid at all stores and the Halfords staff can tell the code on the back is correct but when scanned at he tills it doesn't do nothing so what the staff did at reading for me was gave me the staff discount instead which = 25% :) :) :) so a very happy Tuesday for the car & my wallet :D :D

  6. they will that's why i change insurance company's each yr it pays too shop around i had my c6 + my ds3 which was more sporty than the x type i now have but they added a £156 on top of what i was already paying i only stayed with then as it would of cost more to cancel the policy. so come renewal time its down the rd i go. some members do get some good deals but i wasnt one of them

  9. i dont know if you have this already but facebook has a very well known stolen car list put the reg on there as it goes to 1000s of people all across the uk & euro citys but i will put it out to all jaguar clubs & many multi media site for you by all means hope you get some good news soon regards Ron
  10. yeah he runs his own workshop so every day is a work day and as he said monday & tuesday he does nothing so glad of the work and the cash
  11. well & turly hacked off the clutch has started to slip so early today started hunting around for prices it started nicely at around 600 fitted then got one hell of a shock when i rang mr clutch who gave me a load of bulls*** you know what that means then came back with a fantastic price of wait for it £1097,79p after picking myself up off the floor i said how much the adviser calmly told me the price again . anyways i thought you guys would like a funny story to cheer you up, after a bit more phoning around getting it all sorted for ----------------- £ 469 fitted & getting done this Monday coming ron

  13. not sure about this mark it might be a blub or a fuse on most of my other cars they had fuse's for the panel so i am to assume the jaguar has the same but what number fuse it is your have to go in to your handbook try f13 - f14 i think hope this helps

  15. i think you will find you can get it serviced at any garage as long as they use jaguar approved parts and the service book is stamped correctly & signed this shoud be fine but a jaguar dealership will tell you something else as they want the work and charge you a much higher rate but why dont you go to a indy jaguar garage all the skill of a main dealer but the prices are far cheaper. regards Ron r

  17. i think your find it does this as its cooling down as jim says above i had the same with cars and i can also report no problems regards ron
  18. morning mike firstly welcome to the club. now to your brakes certain disc's will fit other models / cars etc. but please cross ref them, i use a company called mtec proformance brakes ltd you can talk to them over the phone or online they have always steered me in the right direction with disc's & pads etc. but when it comes down to brakes you need to make sure you get it right in the first place.. regards ron

  20. all we need is a template / design as such and vista print or a printing company do some good deals i dont know if the club has the funds for this sort of thing or not maybe someone could have a word with admin ( peter / ken HINT HINT ) i always kept some in the car when i was out and about with my old club we always see them in car-parks etc i think vista print are doing 500 cards for a £5 at the moment all we would have to do is upload a template on there website RON

  22. that's one tasty bit of kit, we should have some club business cards printed so when we pass a jaguar we could place on they car asking them to join the club a lot of clubs are doing this to gain more members
  23. just a thought steve have you rang meridian tv they've covered local car club event stuff down in Brighton before now. you may get lucky
