Just do a google search, the videos can be very helpful.

Hi David,
It`s sad that you have had to sell your X type, but as you say its gone to a good local home.
I remember when I sold my first S type, I did miss it.
Glad you can still get to the shows and see the car🙂
Best Regards,
Julie.
Hi Nick,
I found this item -see below -may be helpful.
I also read water inside door got in some how and needed draining for one chap.
When I had a jeep compass water got in and pulled in lower body panels only noticed when it started dripping out.
Kind Regards,
Julie.
The early XF is/was notorious for "tank slosh", I had it on both my 2010 XFS and 2010 XFR.
It was a fair bit worse in the diesel XFS than it was in the petrol XFR, no idea why.
When the fuel tank got down to about 1/3 full the fuel would slosh back and forward as you accelerated or braked due to inadequate baffling in the fuel tank.
The official JLR fix was to shove some foam baffle material into the fuel tank.
Hi Patrick,
I have read of people using carpet cleaning foam as it does not make the fabric too damp. Could no
say if it works or not.
What I would do, if I wanted to clean it my self, is contact people such as Meguiar`s / dirt buster and ask them if their Upholstery cleaners would be suitable.
Kind Regards,
Julie.
Hi Mick,
AS Vic says what is service history.
I have read of XF doing 200,000.
Cars if looked after properly last., body work ok, been kept undercover etc
If its a good price and you are a low millage user could be a good buy.
Kind Regards,
Julie
Hi Steve,
This may be a bit more helpful than the previous answer,
It is best to use both coolant and water.
If you just use water at high engine temperatures you risk the water boiling, evaporating and damaging your engine.
But there is no harm if water low just topping up with water and when you can add coolant.
Kind Regards,
Julie.
Hi Johnathan,

Hi Jonathan,
Not everyone wants to spend money ( including me) on a new one so
You can get them with a warranty from on line breaker sites or try ebay.
Kind Regards,
Julie.
Hi David,
I used soap and water and a non scratch scouring pad.
I have also used Pink stuff can buy it all in places like Wilko, cheap pound shops.
Every one seems to have a preference some people like WD40, Astonish. Bar Keepers Friend.
I would not usec anything that would scratch the metal.
Kind Regards,
Julie.
