  5. So having had this issue I believe I have found the primary cause when its the throttle body (TB) and more importantly how to fix it at very little cost. See this thread on the UK F-Pace Forum. https://www.fpaceforums.co.uk/threads/sticky-throttle-body-fix-p0234.8166/?post_id=90121#post-90121 I'll keep it up dated, but please feel free to distribute the news to any TDV6 or SDV6 forums. Ford designed this engine, but it was/is used by others, such as Land Rover, Range Rover, Jaguar, Citroen, Peugeot & some other's I believe.
  6. not sure such places still exist...
  7. completetly different cars...EV vs diesel - personally would go for xf 3.0d...much more refined than 2.0. depending what year make we talking about in terms of 2.0 ingenium diesel. after 2019 there were design changes to it and they are more reliable than in 2016-2018 models

  9. Bought a 2000 XK8. Broken timing chain. Knew valves were bent. Replaced them all. Reassembled motor. Ready to install the cams and took my new tool from my kit and pulled the crankshaft positioning sensor. Put the tool in and turned the crankshaft to line it up. The tool never caught. It bottomed out in the hole. It does not appear to be long enough to fit in a hole in the flywheel. is there a piece that fell 0ff the flywheel. ? Or is my tool too short?

Could someone please advise if this model has any specific procedure when disconnecting and reconnecting the battery? I have read various posts where owners had catastrophic results after such a procedure Do these cars have any radio code after the battery is disconnected? Thank you for your help 😁

  18. Hi, I am a new member and proud owner of a 2009 xj Sovereign Jag (2.7 TDVI) I have a long standing electrical fault which effects the windows, overtaking wing mirrors, release of parking brake and door locking. Drivers window will only go down in 50mm intervals and you have to pull the button up 8 times to start it moving up again. All very strange! I think the issues are linked maybe to the door module, but having replaced the one in the driver's door, the problems remain. I was wondering if anyone has had similar issues, in the hope that you might help me get closer to a solution.
  19. Hi there, thanks for taking the time to get back to me, I really appreciate it. At various points during this process I gave tried another seat pressure pad, and also the control module that it is connected to under the seat, and still getting an error code. I have even replaced the SRS module under the centre console and still have the light? Is there any way to check the pressure module is in good woking order or faulty? It is a complete mystery.

  29. Hi Tamara I would tell you to read my post The Great DPF debate in this forum. Replace both EGR valves. Get the car to a reputable garage and get the DPF removed and professionally cleaned. Do not not have it cleaned on the car as this is a scam. Hope this helps Peter in the UK
