Jaguar Sunday Service - Pistonheads

Just found the following link on pistonheads chaps;

http://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=49122

Thought it may be of interest to you. They have advertised a Jaguar Sunday Meet ay Gaydon on the 2nd November (Sunday)

You will notice there are many who have listed themselves for attendee's that will not be driving Jaguars however, some nice cars amongst them.

It would be even better if we could get together a good fraction of the Jaguar Owners Club turning up and a good way to introduce ourselves to each other other than through a computer/laptop etc

Kenny,

I agree, visitors should fit into your plans, not yours into theirs.

Or better still, don't do visitors ., I only very reluctantly let the wife in !

The wife has taken a fancy to this now.

I love AMG's I have had many however have stuck with SL55, SL500, SLK32 etc don't like that CLS at all although its a car my old lady quite likes. £44K though Trevor second hand. Personal opinion and mine only because I've driven my brothers F series S I would rather pay the extra (60K) for that super super car. Take her to see it

Kenny,

She doesn't like the F Type at all, and neither do I much. Might change my mind and get the 5 litre version at some point, but much prefer the XKR, very little room in the F Type,

I was all for getting one, but didn't like it when I saw it, and all they had at the time was the 3 litre ,and I didn't like that at all when I drove it, so opted for the XKR which is more practical and is faster

Would have the AMG GT in preference, but we shall see, only had the XKR 5 months . The wife just has a thing about Mercedes .

Up early and browsing the web Trevor. Rather than that CLS63 albeit a nice car for someone else I think I would prefer to go for something like this as an alternative;

Kenny,

Horses for courses indeed, whatever car I got she would want something different next week. She always wants what she hasn't got (all part of her illness) .

Took 'er to the merc stealership and she didn't like any of them .

She was on about Rolls and Bentley's, told her the old ones had character but cost a fortune to run (and too big for round here), and the newer ones are as ulgy as sin, don't even look like Rolls or Bentley s , and that continental in your link proves my point.

Would rather the XJ Supersport over that, saw one at the stealership before I bought the XJ . Tis just a tarted up Volswagen .

Kenny,

She p*****s me off big style (as do all women) !, she has chosen the last six cars, as soon as we have got it, she wants something different .

Told her to stick to Steiff bears, clothes, expensive jewellery and perfume

I suggested this .

Charlie,

The Bentley is just a tarted up VW . the XJ Supersport looked very similar, and she hated that, even though she chose it.

But as I said, i've only had the XKR (which she chose) for five months .

If ever I do change in the near future, which I doubt, it will either be another Jag, or the AMG GT

ATB,

Trevor

P.S. The best way is not to do visitors at all
