Okey dokey, it's a few months since I did it and mine was swapping out one for the other, so I'm sure you're right, I just don't remember the D2B lead :wink1:

Didn't get chance today.  Hippo in for MOT, needed a corroded rear O/S brake pipe as well as the petrol cradle replaced, plus San had a hospital appointment and the Apple trees needed a prune.

I love holidays.

Will check tomorrow and get back.

We got there eventually.

I've just e-mailed Denis to see if he still has one for sale.  If so more questions may well follow.

Thanks everyone.

Gary M.

PS picked the Freelander up today, it needed a new OS rear brake pipe for the MOT, at the same time a new petrol tank cradle as well as a new mount for the rear diff.  Ouch.

It'll probably come with the bracket, mine did, but worth checking if you're buying without seeing a picture of it 1st. I got mine from eBay for £30...

I was round at Denis's this afternoon Gary and he was preparing your CDC and bracket for packing. He's including the bolts but, as I said earlier, you might need to drill the boot floor and insert riv-nuts.

You'll need to remove the left hand side trim, if it's not already out. The picture below shows the location of the bracket. Have a look at the boot floor and see if there are four riv-nuts already in situ. You will probably find four holes with blanks fitted.

It's not exactly the same bracket as yours but serves to show the location. Let me know what you find and if required I can provide some riv-nuts and you can borrow my riv-nut gun to fit them.

Any update Gary?

Yes Paul, only managed to get it fitted yesterday.  It powers up but does not play, so it looks as if I have to get it coded.  My local trusted garage has, I believe, access to someone who can code it for me, they did the replacement key.  So I'll see they can, if not there is a local independent specialist who should be able to.

Shame you weren't closer to the Midlands Gary. I could sort that for you.

Were the riv-nuts already in place for the cradle?

Was thinking that Paul, it will be sometime before I get the chance to come over.  Never mind though, thank you for the offer.  I purchased a riv-nut tool and an assortment of nuts, will no doubt have need of them in the future.

Thank you again.
