Cruise control warning / power dying

Good morning 

I have a 4.2 v8 06 s type that intermittently tells me that cruise control is not available if I switch off and restart the message goes away  if I don’t notice the message then within 500 yards the car loses power, but not completely poss limp home mode  again I turn off and restart with no further problems until the next time

do you have any idea what the problem is

you need to get the code read, ideally Jaguar IDS/SDD

generic code readers on read engine codes and sometimes give you wrong code

could be something as simple as a abs sensor, as they are tied into transmission and can cause your symptoms

but its all guess work till you get it plugged in

Had the battery replaced ( the original)this morning and everything works fine.

the techie queen at GIBBS in Braintree sorted it straightaway and cleared all the other faults that were showing on the diagnostics  worth her weight in gold that girl
