Hi I have a S type 3 liter auto 2004 6 speed ,I am no mechanic so I hope someone could advise me on a couple of points.

I am getting a clunking noise from the front suspension when I go over a bump any ideas? Second problem sometimes when I pull away the gearbox will not change from first to second unless I excelerate and the engine is needing to change it will eventually change at about 30 mph this does not sound right.

Thanks in advance

HI

Front suspension could be one of many things really, lower shock bush, anti roll bar drop links, or the banana arm bushes, could even be a upper or lower ball joint

just take it a garage, usually quite obvious, rubber boot perishes first the the bush or joint wears out after

gearbox sound like it needs a service and fluids changing, best place to start

cheers

Joe
