Mobile phone holder

Featured Replies

I'm desperately searching for a mobile phone holder that will successfully fit my 2006 S-Type V6 3.0l. I want to use Google Maps since there's no recent Navigation CD since 2012.

I've tried one that attached to the air vent but wobbled a lot, and one that went into the CD player slot but got in the way of the gear lever when going into Park!

Any helpful suggestions?

Thanks

Mick

Lots on Google   Just look in site ---    mobile phone brackets for cars---Halfords you will then get the clubs discount --??

Frank - How do I get a discount at Halfords, do I just mention the club?

Jim - The trouble with that website is that they only show a 2012 disc for the Denso system in the S-Type!

Thanks both

People have bought 2020 discs from this place that have worked perfectly well in Jaguars of your era, Tis the reason I mentioned it. No probs either way.

I am very happy with the holder I got from Amazon which is also a wireless charger (don't have to bother with plugging/unplugging phone). It fits on the vent and has a clamp which keeps it secure. It's been in my S-Type for over 2 years without any trouble.

Edit to add link.

Thanks for that Richard. Just how stable is it on the vents, and will I need a QC 3.0 adaptor, as shown in the product description?

Re stability, It has been over 2 years and it is still there, there is very little wobble if clamped tight.

Re the QC3.0, I can't say, I use the lead that came with it, plugged into my F.M. converter. Running the Sat Nav with screen on and using the phone as a jukebox, after a 3 hour run it's still at 100% charge. (I've used it with Pixel3 and Pixel 5).

My main concern is that I have a Galaxy S20 Ultra, with a case, which I think is bigger and heavier than the Pixels. I can't say that I'm too worried about having wireless charging, just a stable platform!

Mick

I don't have an S Type yet but this works great on my scooter and Jeep

In the end I went with a UGREEN holder that has an additional stabiliser,   https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B085987BG7/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_8NEE8SM1ANVB05JPS9B1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It seems OK at the moment,  just need to give it a long, twisty, run!

Thanks for your advice.

Bought this recently from Home Bargains @ £9.99p. Is extremely stable. Robust. Holds the screen very well. Does not obstruct view too much. Is massively adjustable to suit angle you want.

Best Wishes and Regards, John
