Probably is worth whatever you are offered for it. Brief look at the photos would suggest that a professional restoration of the paintwork is going to cost more that the cars actual worth.

Good luck and Best Wishes, John

hi

thats a 1997 car, so it will be a 4.0 V8, not a 4.2, 4.2 are post 2002

so depending on its history, can have lots of engine issue, known problems with nicasil bores and mainley problems with timing chains and tensioners

so unless you know its history, it may need a lot of engine work as well, 4.2 are a much better engine and much more reliable

cheers

Joe

From those pictures it has a XJ6 front bumper, as it’s an XJR it would therefore be a 4.0L straight 6 engine. I would be interested to see a picture of the engine itself.

Yeah, because they’ve never been know to be wrong , have they?

The dash is definitely from the XJ8 so therefore follows it will be the 4.0L V8. Still puzzled as to the front bumper chrome.
