Hi Trevor

I trust you and your daughter enjoyed the little village of London?

If your kind offer is still in place I would love to try and update my Satnav with your discs

Steve,

Enjoyed it immensely , we went to see a young American Guitarist called Ryan McGarvey, who has to bee seen to be believed .

PM me you address and I shall pop them in the post tomorrow .

I drove straight back after the gig as one doesn't want to be driving into the West Country on a Saturday morning via the M5 car park !

This is a clip of the gig, if you like the Seekers you wont like him !

Wow he can certainly play, it was almost a mix of Hendrix, Hawkwind and Led Zepplin rolled into one. A rare talent and I am surprised I had never heard if him.

Thanks for the education I will look up more of his work

Posted

Steve,

Will PM you another link, it wasn't all like that.

As a retired music researcher I can promise you you will hear of him

Steve,

Good job I didn't pop down then, was going to, but though there would be too many grocks (emmets) about .

Hi Trevor

Just got back from my travels.

Thank you very much for the disks but I do have one question should there be 3 disks as the UK isn't showing on any of the 2 in the box?

Regards

Steve

Steve,

Honestly don't know, that's all I was given .

All I can suggest is slap them in and see what happens .

ATB,

Hi Trevor

No problem I think the 3rd disk will be in the machine as one disk for each region is used

Steve,

I shall have a look .

ATB,

Trevor,

If your SatNav is working, then the disc is in the player.

That is a sine qua non of the workings of this sophisticated technology.

Posted

Peter,

you are right, it is in the player .

Steve ,

It is in the player, but as soon as you take it out the navigation system doesn't work, so even if you installed into your player soon as you took the disc out to return it your navigation wouldn't work, otherwise I would pop it down tomorrow to Cornwall land.

Suggestions welcome .

ATB,

I couldn't expect you to travel so far (even if it is in a stunning car) I can post you the blank disc and send it back with the disks you kindly sent me

If they let me into Cornwall they will let anyone in.

Mind you driving into Cornwall on a Friday is never a good idea

Thanks

Steve

Steve,

You reckon ? she does call herself " Princess Marcie of Ilfracombe" ( really ) and she is quite relieved you talk to me about cars and not music .

ATB,

I assume your member of the Royal family has a different taste in music to yourself?

Cheers

Steve

Posted

Steve,

She has, but I must admit I am fanatical about it . I like most stuff apart from pop music and country music .

My friend has returned the XJ he got from the stealership in Nottingham on my recommendation, and got his money back .

He took it back with the same faults three times in six weeks, that's why I use independents !

I think country music is the only type I don't like!

Bit of a concern about the XJ, I have to say I am delighted with my XF from Taunton Jaguar despite being over 4 years old it only had 29K miles on the clock. It is the nicest car I have driven but I am slightly disappointed by my MPG I am averaging 35 over the last 6000 miles and the biggest chunk of that is Motorway or dual carriageway and I sit between 75 and 80 mph most days. I thought I would have got nearer 40mpg but the car is still worth it.

Cheers

Steve
