  1. The road works around Hinckley are abominable, and many motorists, including me, sometimes flee the jams on the roadworks on the M1/M6/M42 to get into more jams on the A5. I was round there a couple of weeks ago and the jam around the A14/M1 junction had me somewhat dischuffed, especially hone I though about getting back home. Through the lanes on the way home was much nicer, but didn't do a lot for the mpg. Peter.

  2. A good service?? 10 to 15 is 4.2V8 territory so something's wrong. I used to get 25 with my old '99 petrol and 35+ on a run.

  3. Hi Paul i too had a similar problem, the coil replacement on the one bank is fiddly but not too bad, on bank 2 its a bit of a faff due to removing the manifold, if you change them take one of the old ones off first and check the connections, i didn`t do this and was sent a two prong connection off e bay which was supposed to fit when I needed a four prong, got the money refunded but if this saves anyone the same agro then I think i Iwill have done you a service, if you can get a cheap code reader this can help pin point lots of these types of faults.
