You could try some of the better known auction house as they tend to run specialist classic car auctions periodically. At least you would get a good price albeit less the fees

It sounds more like a situation of debris or uneven surface on the runners which would automatically bounce down the windows as though there is an obstruction. I have got round this in the past by spraying Silicon spray into the guide runners which the glass runs up and down and this has cured it.

Try looking at ones for the XF but you'll need to cross reference the part number but it does work

The ‘Racing Cousins’ such as the Lightweight E-Types and the Lister Knobbly have also been covered with sufficient detail without going too in-depth to become a specialist publication of each variation. There are plenty of books available about each of the specialist racing Jaguars to satisfy the enquiring reader’s curiosity. At the end of each chapter is a summary of the specifications of each model from that particular era with technical and performance information. Overall, this book delivers a definitive overview of the variety of XK’s produced over a 22-year span. Hi Richard....welcome to the Club Sorry for the late response, been away from the computer for a while. You certainly have a superb mk9 there. I once restored the major mechanical units for one once....superb engineering of the day and carried through for many years to come.
