  1. It may be worth trying the battery reset procedure but not entirely sure it will resolve the issue. Have you looked for any damage (not matter how slight) on the screen?
  2. Hi Philip....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  3. Hi Paul....welcome to the Forum Has anything damaged the screen recently...something knocked against it possibly? Cannot seem to find anything on a a search for this specific fault and wonder though
  4. Hi Ged.....welcome to the forums Just had a look through some seat cover suppliers and cannot find anything for the rear of an XK8. May have to go to a trimmers and get them to make one up for you. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  5. Hi Ian Two things come to mind Battery voltage: check the battery condition and replace if necessary as this can affect the electronics Turbo variable vanes sticking: turbo needs some cleaner running through it and an italian tuneup usually cures it Either way, a scan of the fault code memory should reveal something to go on Let us know what you find
  6. I would say if there is an issue with the key fob as well as the engine not running then the fault is with the immobiliser. Maybe worth getting a Jaguar specialist or an auto-electrician to accurately diagnose the fault and go from there....but my money is on the immobiliser Do you have another spare key fob available?
  7. Hi Jason....welcome to the Forum Leo Greenstuff, Redstuff, EBC are a few brands that come to mind and don't produce much dust along with enhanced performance. However, the trade-off is that these types of pads are harder material and take longer to warm up so can be quite ineffective until warmed up. Cheers, Trevor
  8. Hi David.....welcome to the Forum You could try running a cleaning disc through the player and see if that improves it> https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xcd+cleaner.TRS0&_nkw=cd+cleaner&_sacat=0 Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
  9. Hi Kevin I think you may find this current thread useful information regarding leaper removal
  10. Could well be the solution....I know this does occur on some Audi models and repair or replacement of the instrument panel is the only solution. Fingers crossed that it occurs within the warranty period
  11. Hi Jason....welcome to the Forum Wow! I can feel your enthusiasm and excitement....please do post up some pics of this fine machine and enjoy it when you pick it up Cheers, Trevor
  12. Have recently read a similar post from a member on here and his response was the same....came back on and waiting for it to come back but no idea what was causing it.....keep us in the loop if it appears again and/or if you find the reason/rectification

    What SIM?

Hi Rob.....welcome to the Club It would probably be best to obtain a data only SIM as there should be good deals through companies such as 3 or Tesco for 20GB data packages. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  14. How did you get on with it....did they replace the whole pedal box assembly?
  15. Hi Chris....how did you get on with this issue? What was the conclusion?
  16. How did you get on with having one fitted?
  17. Damned unfortunate! How did you get on with rectifying the damage?
  18. Please let us know how you get on and what the conclusion is, thanks
  19. Let us know how you get on with this and how the engine system upgrade affects performance, etc
  20. I wonder if it is the coolant temperature sensor which is giving a false signal which in turn would control the ignition and injection and this is causing it. You can test it with a cheap scanner which shows the engine temperature as it warms up.
  21. Hi Barry....welcome to the Club I would scrutinise the service history and see that everything has been maintained at the correct time/mileage intervals. Otherwise, not sure of any issues that would lead to premature failure of components if it has been maintained and also driven correctly over its life so far. Let us know how you get on with acquiring it and ensure that you get a good warranty with it if purchasing from a dealer. Cheers, Trevor
  22. Hi Ashley....welcome to the Forum It's a tough one....although the water pump is not part of the cambelt setup (which is when you would definitely replace it regardless of whether it is leaking or not) it is in the general area of the cambelt and by the time you have the front of the engine stripped back then it would be prudent to replace it at the same time. I would negotiate a discounted price to replace the water pump whilst they are in the same area, which should save quite a bit on the labour. A philosophy to bear in mind is that the water pump bearing has done the same amount of work that the tensioner and guide pulley bearings have done over the 100k miles.....why wouldn't you replace it? Let us know how you get on with it
  23. It looks like a boot-up screen test for RGB but not sure why it would just pop up Would definitely contact the dealer to enquire just in case it is a warning that a system is about to go faulty.....it may have stored a code for this error
  24. Hi Paul....welcome to the Club I'm not surprised you're happy with the car's performance, it has a great engine under the bonnet. Not sure about searching the specification options but as Peter has mentioned, it would be worth chatting to the dealer who should be able to print out a spec sheet for you. Good to have you onboard and enjoy the Jag! Cheers, Trevor
  25. I thought there was 200% import duties when purchasing a new Jaguar in China?
