oh, do not get me wrong, I enjoyed both of mine, a manual that I drove for 130k miles in 5 years and an auto that I drove for 90k miles in 5 years also. However, cars have moved on since the 75 was designed and the 75 was not helped by the cost cutting measures during production. Perhaps, it is the fact that car design has moved on over the years. And yes, the 75 was well regarded in its day and perhaps moving on to a Jag is a logical progression. Getting back in to a 75, at least for me, cannot stop me from making comparisons with the XF. For one thing, the 75 CDTi is fly be wire but the spring on the accelerator pedal is very strong which means a lot harder to push down and keep down.
