  1. Are you looking for an X250 (produced to 2015 or an X260 produced from 2015? X250 You will find cars in other colours than those mentioned - white was the standard colour others were extra apart from some on the Portfolio Interior colours yes - the whitish colour is Ivory Bluetooth yes Premium sound - Portfolio model Rear sensors standard equipment, front which includes camera an option and normally specified ACC - extremely rare only seen one car advertised with it when I was looking HID - yes So look for a Portfolio and if you want a bit more power look for the XF-S Go on eBay and buy a sales brochure for the year you are looking for and that will show you what was available
  2. Are you referring to the hazard flashers?
  3. Try changing the fuel filter - a partially blocked filter can cause the car to go into limp mode intermittently.
  4. With suspension and brakes change both sides.
  5. The door locks do fail - seems the motors etc are of low quality. Personally, since buying a Jaguar, reading about the problems that people have, the Technical Service Bulletins that Jaguar have issued and the failure rates I have concluded that Jaguar make out they are a premium manufacturer but under-developed the vehicles and chose the cheapest components.
  6. Think you will find that the double beep is indicating that the car is not locking / not locking properly.
  7. You bought this from a dealer so it is up to the dealer to put right what is wrong with the car.
  8. You might be interested in this and a possible MOT and insurance failure: https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/blog/are-led-headlights-legal-in-the-uk/ In addition, aftermarket HIDs are illegal.
  9. He last visited in 2018....you may have a long wait.
  10. Old Peter wrote: 'Ceramic had not been invented when I had my s type treated' Well, MB were factory ceramic coating cars in 2008 and do not know how long before then. Easy to spot on an MB if it was ceramic coated as the paint code on the ID plate had a 'C'
  11. Partially blocked fuel filter can cause RP.
  12. Does not seem a full service history with only 7 stamps.
  13. Some key differences for facelift models - note there are also Business (very basic) and SE and R-Sport versions. Of the other 3 there are: Luxury - bonded leather seats with 6 x 6 way electric adjustment, no driver memory function, basic audio system 17" wheels Premium Luxury - soft grain leather seats with 10 x 6 way electric adjustment with memory, middle audio system, 18" wheels, heated windscreen, folding mirrors, folding rear seats Portfolio - Soft grain leather with 16 x 12 electric adjustment with memory function, active ventilated front seats - heated and cooled, top of range audio system,19" wheels, folding mirrors, folding rear seats Obviously, there are optional extras that can be added to all models. Standard colour was white with other colours a paid for option with the exception of some colours being a no cost option with the Portfolio. The 3.0l is nice and smooth and very pokey in S version.
  14. Portfolio is the top model. What I did when I was looking for an XF was to go on to eBay and buy a sales brochure that represented what I was looking for - which was a facelift. The brochire will show you the differences between the various models and what is standard and what are optional extras. With modern engines it is no longer a case of 100k miles being high mileage. 200k is nowhigh mileage but expect higher mileage than that. If you are going to do 5k miles pa then buy one at 100k then it will take 20 years to 200k.
  15. Not familiar with the design of the engine but could be a core plug gone if there are any or a hose to the heater?
  16. There is nothing that attaches the load cover to the tailgate hence it was not designed to move with the tailgate......you have bought an estate not a hatchback. The runners and anchor points for the cover are mounted on the side paneling.

    3l vs 2.2l

I believe that the cars are the same just the engine.
  18. Try changing the fuel filter before taking it to a garage. A partially blocked fuel filter can also make the car go in yo RP - Restricted Performance - causing the car to be very under-powered.
  19. Ah, mine is a 13 model year made in 2012 and it shows 12 as the map year. Explainswhy I have to put in Londinium
  20. I find the Jaguar sat nav very frustrating. Do not know the map date on mine. However, the other day trying to navigate to somewhere the map and directions merely showed literally going round in circles and not directing to where I want to go. The other thing is at times you are navigating to somewhere and it comes up with a 'we now have a better way' accept it and it will add time and miles to the journey. Oh, and it normally does not do it once, it keeps doing it until you tell it to stop. As to the cost, totally ridiculous. I concur with an earlier comment about Vauxhall update costs, as ridiculous as Jaguars cost. The wifes MB costs £99 to update. I wonder if Jaguar receives a 'royalty' commission from HERE for each update sold. Would be nice if someone would produce a hack so that Garmin maps can be used - lifetime (until Garmin decide the life has ended) map updates. On another forum there are details of how to update the HDD version for free using maps from Volvo which are available on the Volvo website, but it does mean having to extract the HDD and unlocking it.
  21. As everything else on the seat is working my thoughts are it is either the switch or the motor.
  22. Is your insurance coming up for renewal? Organisations such as RAC offer insurance but they do not. I believe the brokers that operate under the RAC banner are Towergate. So presumably, Towergate said to RAC let us use your name and we will pay you a commission. Does Jaguar do the same? Did you get the call to prevent you using another broker?
  23. Have a rear view mirror with camera for the auto main beam (AHB) that I want to fit. Been told that it can be done by running a twisted pair from the camera to a canbus access point. Anyone know how and where to connect it to the canbus. I know that the ccf requires changing.
  24. As Joe saya, an MOT failure, plus the insurance side of things. Buy an iCarSoft diagnostic box and you can force a regen and thentake the car for along drive.....cheaper than replacing the DPF.
