Thanks, the RS is niche so you won't get anywhere near it value on those sites unfortunately, will be a certain buyer that will be specifically seeking one. I may look at these companies that sell cars on your behalf, or maybe talk to swallow who do buy and sell niche jags, but would love it to go to someone who really wants one as they are special cars 😁

Sadly going to be selling my XFR-S soon, but looking at prices in general for XFs and larger engine cars they are all over the place. Any views on the range I should aim at? Car is in Italian Racing Red, 45k on the clock, full history with Jaguar, body condition will be good (got a couple of minor corrections to do to alloys and spoiler) runs like a dream. Good to get views, not in a rush to sell and certainly don't want to give the car away, but will need to sell at some point to move on to my next car 😀

Take it back to the garage and ask to take a look if just purchased. Does sound odd.

Usually this or a blocked filter in the water pump. Replacing is normally better as still have to do the work to get to the pump and the part is not expensive.

Welcome, unfortunately I think you will need different wiring loom for the electric chairs. From memory you have one for the heated seats and a seperate one for the electric chair. It may also have a seperate fuse too for the chair.

I found it a waste of time, if you have an auto box can remote start but cannot with manual. Need sim for the internet or did in my 2016 xe, was rubbish as only worked on 3g. Does have tracking capabilities and can tell you stuff like windows open and doors are unlocked. Dont think it heats seat as you need to be in it for them to trigger.

You can buy portable chargers, the AA etc carry them to jump cars, dont think they are particularly cheap and dont think they charge you battery by much I am afraid. Have heard solar trickle charges are good once battery is charged.

Need to find a good auto electrician to try fine the route cause, worth plugging in a code reader to see if anything being thrown out.

The sim card which I had in my previous XE was crap, seem to only run at 3g speeds, suspect if yours is 18 will not have been updated. Better off turning your phone into a hot spot for passengers etc

Assuming you mean a drop in power when pulling away? Could be due to a number of reasons. Is it an auto box, put in manual mode and see if it is still happening, has it just happened or building up?

Never heard of a thermostat exploding, but where did all the water come from or did the car over heat and something blow like a radiator or water pump?

Is it a diesel or petrol? If the car is running hot due to it being detected by the thermostat then I think there is a different warning light than the engine management one.

They use long life oil now in diesels hence why they look shocked. Personally when I had a diesel had it changed annually at a non dealer, as long as you check what oil they are putting in, all is good.

Totally agree with Joe, get it done properly and with someone with experienceand good track record. For the extra cost and peace of mind.

Most engines run for years if property serviced and in a diesel case, regularly run doing miles is generally a good thing 😁

You sure there is not something in your car setup menu that you can switch on so they close when you lock up the car. I thought was standard on an XFR.

Sounds like you may have some iffy wiring potentially, has anything not standard been wired in on the car?

Did you follow the correct procedure to change the battery? Unfortunately these cars sometimes have gremlins post a change.

What colour was the smoke? Could be a oil leak from somewhere.

P006A-00 normally relates to a manifold issue, could be cracked or a pipe that has become loose, basically detecting a drop in pressure. Others are historical.

Charging battery on trickle charge, suspect it won't be that but low battery does cause gremlins with our xf's

If reset and battery trick not working, assume it could be the control unit or the motor for the window. If you can hear something, suspect more likely the motor.

Typically you car speedo is 10% higher that what you are actually doing, car manufactures do this so they dont get sued. If you dont have standard tyres even optional upgrades will reduce the tolerance. Gps will be more accurate probably
