Hi Chris and welcome. As the engine has been stood for so long, remove the plugs and put a teaspoon of oil down each. Wait 5 minutes and then spin then engine on the starter for 5 - 10 seconds. Replace the plugs and retest the compression, if still the same then you start dismantling.

Any Jaguar independent specialist should be able to read the codes for you. A icarsoft i930 code reader would also be useful to you. What appears to be the problem?

Yes it can be but do make sure the negative of the charger goes to an earth point and not the battery. The procedure should be in your manual.

Welcome to the forum. I would start by fully charging the battery despite it starting the car especially seeing the first and third pictures. Once charged, try again.

Yes you can, they are designed that way. If they haven’t been moved for some time then spray some lubricant into the swivel point and just keep wiggling them until they are in the park position

32psi sounds right to me, the correct pressure should be on a plate either in the engine bay or perhaps the passenger ‘B’ pillar.
