  1. It costs nothing to try but, the fabric will already have stretched so trying to glue it back will leave a rather unsightly crease. Furthermore the glue won’t last long before it comes down again. You can actually DIY by removing the headliner completely from the car and recovering it correctly.
  2. Welcome to the forum, enjoy.
  3. These any good, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255319999963?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=EAIaIQobChMIzaTMg5yl9gIVCLrtCh3n7gmPEAQYBiABEgKbdPD_BwE
  4. Excellent news and thanks for the update.👍
  5. That sounds like a ground point problem or battery related. Always check your basics first before you think of spending any money.
  6. Always good to know how you get on and if you need anymore information.🤙
  7. I would disconnect the brake light and test that you have power at the plug when the brake pedal is pushed before you go spending a lot of money on what may not be needed. It could also be a bad ground on that side.
  8. Measuring the voltage of the battery with a multimeter or plug in device gives no indication of the capacity of the battery, it merely shows the terminal voltage. A battery can quite easily show 12.8v on a meter and have very little capacity to do anything.
  9. Could well be the starter motor or solenoid sticking, a tap with a mallet may free it off. Do check that you have 12.8v on the new battery also.
  10. I would say from looking at the diagrams, one of your “door ajar switches” may be a little sticky. Fig 09.01 of this manual refers, http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Electrical/STypeElectrical/2003 MY S-Type Electrical Guide.pdf
  11. Get yourself a code reader to start with, it will save you hundreds of pounds in diagnostic fees. I feel sure that your problem is due to a faulty ride height sensor, though you will need a code reader to tell you which one.
  12. Are you sure there is a second battery on a 2016MY?
  13. First things first, fully charge the battery preferably overnight. When charged, check the voltage at the battery, it should be 12.8v. Start the car and see if you still have the warning. If you do then check the voltage at the battery again with the engine running, should be in the region of 14.3v - 14.8v. We need these basic checks in order to know which direction to go.
  14. The same applies, if you do not have the BMS fitted at the negative terminal, as you don’t, then direct to the battery terminals is ok.
  15. That has been butchered. The only way around that is to remove it and have it professionally milled.
  16. It costs nothing to try, look forward to hearing how you get on.🙂
  17. A quick look at the classifieds will give you an idea of how much these cars fetch, in running order. However, 4 new tyres, brakes, possible suspension parts, not to mention engine recommissioning and the inevitable rust. Based on this and why it was laid up in the first place, I wouldn’t go above 2k. As you say, you won’t know unless you ask.
  18. You will need the 19” black space saver, this is to ensure it clears the larger brake callipers on the xkr’s. As to getting one, good luck as I’m still looking.
  19. Personally, I would remove the seat base first then remove the door card and then operate the lock manually to open the door.
  20. Fingers crossed for you. I would keep the new sensors for a week at least just in case, until you have a bit more confidence in the car. Thanks for the update.
  21. Charge your battery and then check again. These cars do not function well with a less than fully charged battery. Always the first thing to check especially when they disappear upon a restart.
  22. Let’s us know how you get on.👍
  23. This may help, https://www.jaguarwhiteplains.com/service/obd-ii-trouble-codes.htm
  24. If you don’t already have it, here is the electrical manual for your car. http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Electrical/XFElectrical/2009 MY XF Electrical Guide.pdf
