  1. 2 fuses to check first. Fuse F18 10A and fuse F14 10A, both in the engine management fuse box.
  2. If you think it’s voltage related then give the battery an overnight charge. If it still happens then it will be a height sensor.
  3. Far too low, should be 12.8v for a fully charged battery. Try giving the battery a charge and see what happens.
  4. My guess is a ride height sensor playing up. A code reader will confirm one way or the other. Where in Yorkshire are you?
  5. They were an option, some have some haven’t.😊
  6. This might help explain Paul. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/general-tech-help-7/jepc-jaguar-electronic-parts-catalogue-graphics-241868/
  7. They just clip in. Sometimes genuine ones appear on eBay but don’t be tempted by the cheaper versions, they don’t last long and the fit is quite loose.
  8. Find the alarm chirp sounder, under the wheel arch liner and behind the driver’s side headlight, and disconnect it. These Saunders have rechargeable batteries that degrade over time and short out causing a massive drain on the main battery.
  9. Quite possibly due to the position of it. Pretty sure the rear subframe has to be dropped to change it, so all in all, quite a big job for something relatively small.

  13. Open the passenger door and look on the “B” pillar, that’s where it normally is.
  14. That’s what your supposed to do, so no defect after all.
  15. Do you have a star shaped indent on the gear surround? Cars of your era did not have a lever to release the transmission.

  18. I agree though if you look at how much electronics they’ve stuffed in the wheel well, it’s understandable why there isn’t a spare. I would prefer less electronics and proper safety equipment.
  19. If you look in the boot there should be a can of spray foam to fix a puncture, and that is all you get.
  20. Check the condition/charge of the battery and if need be, give it a full overnight charge. Check the connectors going into the CJB (central junction box) for signs of water ingress (verdigris).
  21. This should help; http://www.jagrepair.com/JaguarParasiticTest.htm
  22. Excellent news and thanks for the update.🤙
  23. First thing to do, locate the “alarm chirp sounder” and disconnect it. This is the most common area for a drain. Also check that the flap in the ignition barrel is closing when the key is removed.
  24. Welcome to the forum Coby. By all means carry out a full service but also check all he air hoses are tight, secure and free from leaks or damage. Above all, have the codes read as anything else is just guesswork.
  25. If you are 100% sure the valves are opening and closing then the head will have to come off. I would suspect worn valve seats or piston rings leading to the lack of compression in the two cylinders.
