  4. Hi Charlie Yes I had one Ive still got it some where it was quite a few years ago now when they came out ?? It was really good and saved my bacon lots of times because it always warned me in time for me to slow down in time ....its out of date now i suppose the new ones are evern better they are well worth the money... I dont need one now as I tend to keep with in the lawful speed I am retired and in no hurry and I don't go far . Frank
  5. Hi Brian In my thinking if it was shocks it would be a very uneaven wear and bumpy but with airpressue it would be just the edges smothed off.??? Frank
  6. Hi Brian You say that you keep the pressures at 2.2 bar .....But in my manual it tells me that 18inch wheels on a XType should be = Front---- 2.6 bars--=38lbs Rear-----2.4 bars--=35lbs Only a thought . Frank
  7. Hi Brian My next thought would be are you carrying any weight in the boot because I still think you should put a little more pressure in the rear tyres ??? I don't think the front would be the same so leave them . If it was just wearing one side of the tread I would say a suspension arm fault but both sides point to tyre pressure.??? Frank
  8. If its the outer edge on both tyres my first thought is you are running them with the preasure too low .??? I would up them 3 or 4 lbs. Frank
  9. Hi Brian If by saying they are out of shape you mean that they are ovel or not truely round I would say that they are faulty tyres and that the bands that make the tyes up are at fault???? To be honest if it was me I would change them as soon as possible as they could be a danger if you like to speed at all.??? Frank
  10. I think I would say its a air leak on the pipe or one of the joints or a split pipe because that could make a funny noise. Frank
  11. Sorry I should have put this in == http://www.eurocarparts.com/locking-wheel-kits?gclid=CNmyx5fD-sECFQPMtAod-CoAog Frank
  12. Hi ..Cliff perhaps you could do the same as a freind of mine he fitted two lock nuts to each wheel they are different so that you need two key nuts to remove the wheel---Just a thought ??? Frank
  13. Hi Declan--Its hard to say what the problem is-- but-- if I was you I would check for a air intake pipe could be loose or is split this would give you the problem + did you say you had replaced the plugs .??? Frank
  14. I would still check the plugs if I was you because one or two of them could be breaking down under pressure or the gap not what it should be ??? Frank
  15. I also took out a premium membership about 4 weeks ago I soon had the Halfords card through the post but no stickers .????? Frank
  16. Sorry to hear its the diff but you must beable to pick up a good secondhand one quite cheep well I think thats what I would do ??? Frank
  17. Hi Richard I think if I was you I would first check your -Tye-rod ends for play or when you move them if they feel rough.???? Plus check all suspention joints for play etc Its stange that your engine mounts have gone are you sure on that.??? Frank

  19. Hi David The cheepest way would be to go on Ebay and get the compleat assembly I think ??? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CONTINENTAL-REAR-WHEEL-BEARING-KIT-FOR-JAGUAR-S-TYPE-2-5-2002-CDK3688-/331286565468?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AJaguar|Model%3AS-Type|Cars+Year%3A2002&hash=item4d2237d25c Frank

  24. Hi -- My X Type as I said in a past post failed its test because of rusty sills [i didnt look at them when I bought it ] but I never paid over the top for the car so I had them replaced cost about £500 it seems as I was told this is a fault with some not all x type up to the 2004--2005 a bad batch of sills or somethig like that ---The thing is you can't see them very well because of the plastic cover sill so its worth a check you can get a srew-driver behind to find out.???
