DAB module, (mounted behind the boot trim above the audio amp), is a direct swap and doesn't require coding to the car.

I did that very thing at the weekend on my XF with a £14 eBay DAB module. Takes about 20 minutes depending upon how recalcitrant the trim is 😉

£80 - £100 seems indecently expensive for the module though.

On the default XF message centre display there is to be found a circle with a dot on the circumference shown just below the transmission icons.

Brake servo and master cylinder from a 2011 XF breaker cost me £30 and was a direct replacement for the one on my 2.7 S-Type.

However, if you are seeing loss of vacuum, have you ruled out the vacuum pump?

If you do choose to have one fitted, BEWARE, the rear lights on the S-Type are negative switched so unless your fitter knows what he is doing, at best the trailer electrics will not work. At worst you have various parallel paths and your car lights will do all sorts of weird things.

Used one in a 2.0 X-type. It went very well and never had a problem.

Yes. Difficult to remove a bonded screen from a donor car without damaging the wiring though.

I'm satisfied that it can be done Chris. It was the next project on my previous car. However, events overtook and my replacement S-Type already has it fitted.
