  2. Hi, I have just purchased my first Jaguar, it's a 2014 XF 3.0 S Portfolio Sportbrake, there are a few scrapes on the alloys so I would like some spray paint, could someone point me in the right direction, I have tried researching but there only seems to be the small touch up paint available. Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers, Arnie.
  3. Hello, Is anyone interested in buying 2 Jaguar XJ8 catalytic converters Part numbers: NNG 6700AA NNG 6701AA
  4. You should be able to see the coolant in the coolant expansion tank Tony, no tube should be on it. I'll try and get a photo of mine tomorrow - my coolant is orange, i believe they changed coolant requirements over the course of production and different colours were used but i don't think pink was one of them.
  5. Aftermarket maybe? Don't think my 2001 has such a thing.
  6. Hi I'm looking to do CCF edits. Any recomendation on what and where to buy? Thanks
  7. Good question. I've used an Autel AP200 white so far. Annoyingly it doesn't list the 2.0 petrol engine, but when I select diesel most things seam to work. I would like one to change configuration options (CCF file)
  8. Thanks for the Picture Simon. Mine came without a wheel chock. I happen to have a LR one that looked the same but couldn't get it to fit, until I saw your picture with the chock sticking out of the foam. I see from ebay that an after market company are selling spare wheel kits these days. Called RoadHero

  11. I have exactly the same problem with both my front windows my 2008 XJ Sovereign. Did you manage to resolve it? I’ve only recently purchased mine and will be looking into it.
  12. Hi, I have recently purchased a 2008 XJ Sovereign 2.7 and I have a problem with both front electric windows. The rear windows work perfectly. They front windows will only move up or down in short increments. One press to go down two or three inches at a time. But when they go up I have to click at least 8 times for them to move two or three inches. Can anyone tell me how to fix this please?
  13. Hi , I have the same issue with my 07 2.7tdvi , any luck with solving the problem ? I've spent plenty on mine too and it's very frustrating !

  15. I had the timing chains/tensioners/guides replaced and new Lifetime Bilstein Shock Absorbers installed.
  16. Hi Phil Info to help replace the stalk is here: http://www.jagrepair.com/JaguarXFLightStalkReplacement.htm Lots of other useful info on that site. Sounds like it might be a dodgy contact in the stalk or a faulty Central Junction Box which controls current flow to both the indicators and the headlights. Does indicating turn main beams on even when light switch is off, or does it just move from dipped beam to full beam when the headlights are on and you try turning? John
  17. Hi ste-- A big welcome to the club be nice to see a photo of your 1994 XJs all the best --- Frank
  18. 1994 xj40s i have owned the car for 3 years and i have a stalling problem. The car starts first time but soon as it gets to normal temperature it goes into a stalll if i keep the engine going by revving the engine manager light comes on and drives perfect . I have changed the temperature switch and lamba sensor exhaust and egr valve and also get fail 44. i have had the garage look at it but still can not find the fault any help would be very much appreciated Thanks ste
  19. Have a look here Andy; https://reluctorrings.com
  20. Hi Frank I suggest you really need to get the fault codes read / read them yourself (OBD scanners are available for around £20). Without that you are simply going to be trying to solve the problem without actually knowing what the problem is. Good luck John
  21. Thank you, great suggestion and I will certainly keep that link for future problems. Unfortunately they currently only have passenger side. I have found Jaguar have a classic parts section and hopefully I have bought the right part from there. I will probably have to paint it but at least it should fit.
  22. Just as most others are saying that independent Jaguar specialists are great. Mine does a far better job than I have got before from main dealers and I usually pay around £300 for a major service. No frills just great work.
  23. Thanks, I know its not the tyres as said, I have moved them around. I guess the drive shaft could be a good place to start. Don't have the tools but this gives me something to go to the mechanic with!
  24. Hi, Having a mare of a time with my 2011 XF 3.0D V6 Facelift Model I've got my XF on a ramp in a garage (Garage unable to source any) and can't seem to get a correct set of all 4 Flexible hoses, No stock anywhere. Main Dealer states Brake Hoses on 'Back Order' but have no idea of a due date. I've been supplied the incorrect parts from a couple of different sources as they have assured me they are the ones for my car, but still no joy. Has anybody here had any luck finding or sourcing the four Hoses from the Body to the Calipers.
  25. I would be interested to meet as well. Steve

  27. Hi Charlotte, I am not overly familiar with the X-type but from a general knowledge perspective, practically all of the "modules" in a modern Jaguar need to be programmed to the car. This can be achieved, I believe, using the Jaguar or Auto Logic diagnostic equipment. Not sure it is something the home mechanic can readily achieve though. You say you have already tried lots of fixes, but have you tried a new battery in the car? Again, modern Jaguars rely very heavily on a good battery and it would amaze you how many, apparently random and unrelated faults are thrown up by a failing battery, which can still start the vehicle, but have voltage spikes that upsets the electronics. I recommend that the battery be considered a consumable and changed when it gets to 5 years old. As given, the ability to start the car is no longer the best measure of the battery's health. N6 JMX
