Got MOT in Morning But NO headlights and sides are dim 2.5 X Type Auto

2.5 petrol X Type 02 Automatic,  Hi Guys Had the car for a few weeks and tonight for the first time needed headlights, but nothing, the side work but are Dim. So had to drive home on fogs, She goes for her MOT in the Morning so got a panic on, High beam works No Head and sides are Dim but working. Thanks In Advance 


its going to be one one of three things id of thought a fuse left headlight  is  f 16 & the right is f17 in engine conpartment - both blubs have blown on headlights or the r9 relay may be u s

just change the the side lights to a led upgrade for a brighter lite but check to see if you need error free canbus one's

HI There Thank you very much for that I will check as She failed on both sills needing done both shot, I will mail the garage about the fuses/relay, Cheers Rod

It would be very unusual for both fuses to have blown, I would suspect relay. If there is one that you can swap to check then I suggest you do so.

I also own a 02 X Type and I had to have my sills done Its not a cheap

thing but I did save by buying the new sills from eBay and the garage I bought

it from done the job and helped a little with the bill -so good luck on that .

Hi Frank Luckily it's down to the guy I bought it from as he gave me a receipt when I bought her that he would put 12mths MOT on, when it became due, with any parts and labour, as only had 6wks MOT, But we just couldn't believe it as she is totally Mint on the surface, just a few little niggles as any used car would have. Thanks Rod
