Not me, Joe.

Those that think that should have a look around them when they are driving, and realise that Audi Drivers need to be in front of you and BMW drivers are always trying to force others to move over when they want to overtake by flashing their lights and tailgating.

There are a lot of Jaguars where I live and the drivers are impeccably courteous.

Since when does speeding automatically make you a bad driver?  Driving too fast for conditions is unsafe, but just speeding (without being distracted) is not.  It is just a revenue producer for the local government.

I was driving when there was no national speed limit in the UK.  There were only speed limits of 30 mph and 40 mph though towns and cities, and some rural villages.  But there were not many cars that could manage over 75 mph!

Most of my motor cycles could touch 100 mph and often did --  but importantly when conditions were safe.  And that is the crux!

Bad drivers are those that don't follow the rules of the road and who also go too fast for the conditions at the time.

Basically the speed limits are there on major road to curb those drivers who think that they are skilful and go too quickly when they should not.  I have seen many drivers who have run out of fuel, but I have seen more who have run out of road!

Whilst being biased I have to admit I've seen a few owners giving the rest of us a bad name. Perhaps they have forgotten that they are driving a Jag and think they are driving a BMW. I will however remain the most courteous of drivers in order to maintain standards (until some numpty cuts me up or does something really stupid around me)

I do find that hard to believe ... Possibly Jag drivers are just more honest when it comes to such surveys. Or certain tabloids would like to slate Jag drivers for holding on to a notion of Britain once having a automotive industry. 

My experience has been .... If they are flashing to pass or cutting in they are nearly always a BMW driver. Since driving a Jag (Oct 16) I generally find more hostility from German car drivers than anyone else on the road and what has surprised me most is Audi drivers I always thought they were a fairly placid lot, not if you are in a Jag they aren't.   

i would probably agree about Skoda and Volvo owners being reasonable drivers but I have to say I haven't seen many badly driven Jags either.  I was behind a XKRS 5 litre the other day who could have so easily burned off a boy racer cllearly giving him a hard time but he kept his cool, as did I when he then tried it on me. 

 

I'd have said the image of the BMW driver had improved in recent years; it's the Audis that are most driven by unpleasant, pushy people you wouldn't want to invite to dinner these days.

I find when I'm in my Jaguar, its so comfy that I'm more relaxed and chilled out

and been more relaxed, makes for better driving

but there's allways someone out there to ruin your day

In the Audi Owners Manual there must be a paragraph which states that drivers must never be behind another cat, and that they must also drive in the overtaking lane.

As Joe says, the S Type is very comfortable and you can have a relaxed drive.

It is a fact, that most sidewipes that hit motorcycles are done by VOLVO drivers, who can't even see a white bus approaching   .    Also women in Volvos doing the school run.      The old type of "typical Jag driver" is personified by "Bamber Gasket"  of Private Eye, back in the 60s. Anyone remember  his motoring column?       He had a "souped up Jag"   and always ended his report from the   "casualty unit , Milton Keynes"   or from a police station.
